Personal comment - I have been asked why do I support the Salvation Army , there are several reasons:-1. There is no CEO sitting in a huge London office taking home a big fat wage.
2. The charitable work they carry out has no boundaries, they help everyone.
3. I so admire the work they carry out on an every day basis, Christmas being a very special time to help those in need.
4. Their charity shops don't have professionally printed, expensive designer labelled, Christmas cards to sell.
5. Their charity shops are actually delighted to receive donations, especially if you also sign and agree to be part of Gift Aid.
6. I am not a member of the Salvation Army, I have not received any assistance in the past from them. I am merely a great admirer and supporter of their work here in the UK.
