An early blog where I was accepted as a Design team member. I enjoyed the Keep It Simple principle. Sadly the blog folded.
Try It On Tuesday, was the first challenge blog where I joined as a Design Team member. I was thrilled when the owners Janet and Michelle, invited me to join the group. It used to be called Tuesday Taggers, but it was decided as the challenges were no longer to be only for tags to change the name. We continue now with a different project for each week of the month, first week is a card, 2nd a tag, 3rd, Anything you wish with a given theme, 4th Alter an item and if there is a 5th Tuesday this is a Wild Card where a DT member chooses something e.g. ATC, an easel card, it could be anything. I continue to enjoy being part of the team and the challenges the team dream up, can be quite daunting, especially the Alter Week, not my favourite, but as a DT member I give it a try. We are sponsored during the card week by The Stampman each month and during the Altered Art week by The Craft Barn.
Resigned from Try It on Tuesdays in January 2012, after two years of being on the DT.
I was delighted, during 2011, to spend a term with Crafty Cardmakers and their sister blog the Spotlight Challenge. Both were very interesting with a large team.
The Spotlight Challenge concentrated more on ideas, techniques rather than just a theme.
I joined the Fashionable Stamping Challenges DT within a week of it's opening. I am still in awe of being amongst so many highly talented ladies. Shirley, the owner is a wonderful leader. We all choose a theme. We all vote for winners, and the person who chose the weekly theme, can also choose 3 other persons who are 'spotlighted' on the middle Saturday. The challenges last two weeks. I had a great time and would highly recommend anyone thinking of joining but after a year it's time for me to move on.
I joined the Alphabet Challenge Blog at letter Z in 2012, I have always enjoyed using the letters of the alphabet in my craft work. I find it can inspire me to make projects I probably wouldn't have thought of, certainly taking me out of my comfort zone or sometimes, it's comfortable to stay in your little craft area and create and find a technique to fit the letter. They are a lovely team, to be part of and I am thrilled to be part of the team. I am hoping to be so for a long time.
I recently joined the Design team of C.D Sunday Challenges. this blog encourages and challenges you to use your CD raft collection with particular challenges. I greatly enjoy being part of the team, for this certainly makes me use my CDs more than I have in the past, which can only be a good thing. I don't think that CDs are only for beginners. CDs nowadays are so much more advanced than when I first started buying them, in fact the technology has now gone beyond what I can manage to do. I am not able to create using digi layouts or hybrid, I know what the words mean but it is too technical for me. However, I am loving the new CDs which are available, and find it great fun to use them more often.
