R is for Round

Hello everyone, welcome to my blog. Today we begin a new challenge here at Alphabet Challenges, for the next two weeks,  Veronika, has chosen R is for Round.  to see the wonderful inspiration from the design team, plase visit the blog.

I die cut two white circle cards to create a circle (round card). I then die cut a piece of grey/white card for the background. The designer circle, inner circle with the rabbit and also the circle sentiment are all from an A4 Topper sheet from Hunkydory. I added 3 d foam pads to the two circles to give more dimension, to the round card.  I hope you are inspired and interested to join in the R is for Round challenge.

Favourite Colour Combo

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today we begin a new challenge at Cardz 4 Galz. Johanna, on the design team, has chosen, #239 Your Favourite Colour Combo. To see the remainder of the team's creative inspiration, please visit the blog.

I love making black and white or white and black cards, so my favourite colours are simply black and white, however I couldn't decide which to feature, so I made one of each.
On the black card on the left, I heat embossed the Flying Stars stamp by Penny Black, with detailed white embossing powder, from Stampendous.  I did the same with the small butterfly stamp, a freebie with the Craft Stamper magaizine. I added white pearls and a sentiment stamp.
On the white card on the right, I embossed the same stamps with Black Tinsel Wow! embossing powder. I added a ribbon with a bow and white pearls. Have fun with your favourite combo.

Grateful/Thankful/Blessed

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today we begin a new challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz.  Sue J has chosen #361 Grateful/Thankful/Blessed. To see the inspiration created by the design team, please visit the blog.

For my project I decided to use a C6 card i.e 6" x 4".

Using a dauber I rubbed on 3 Distress Inks. Fossilized Amber, Twisted Citron and Evergreen Bough. The stamp is from a set of stamps called - Eastern Grasses - originally from Elusive Images which later became Chocolate Baroque. The Thank You sentiment stamps is an old, yet faithful foam stamp. Have fun, I look forward to seeing your masculine projects.

The papers and topper are from a CD by The Card Hut - Fabulous Tea and Cakes.
I used both black and purple card  to mat and layer for contrast.
Jewels and a greeting were added.

Christmas Florals

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today at Sparkles Monthly challenges we begin a new challenge, Dawn has chosen #182 Christmas Florals. To see the remaining inspiration by the design team, please visit the blog.

I began with a red scallop edge card, I added a piece of holly pattterned paper to the card, to provide a background. I then added a sheet of poinsettia flowers in a vase with holly from a Winter Florals Little Book by Hunkydory. The poinsettias were decoupaged using further pages from the book. I added a peel off Christmas greeting sticker. Have fun, I hope to see an entry from you.

Quick and Easy

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today at Alphabet Challenges Helen has chosen Q is for Quick and Easy. To see more inspiraqtion from the design team, please visit the blog.

I made a 6 x 4 in light brown card. I used papers from Dreamees Velvet Whisper paper pad, a piece of Hunkydory mat card for the base of the design. I cut, folded back two pieces of the top sheet. Stamped and added a birthday greeting. Finally I cut two butterflies from a paper pad, to add more detail and cunningly hide where the paper was cut. Have fun with your Quick and Easy challenge.

Textures

Hello, welcome to my blog. Today we begin a new two weekly challenge at Cardz 4 Galz. Dawn has chosen #238 Texture. To see the inspiration by the design team, please visit the blog.

I began with a 6" sq. white card. I added with 3d foam pads a panel of texture, created with an embossing folder. The 3 layers of the flowers were created by using a 3 pce die set of a flower head, by Chloe's design. These were included in a box set of a Chloe's magazine Vol. 13. I coloured them with Promarkers and a brown Spectrum Noir Duo-Colour pencil. The sentiment is from my stash. Take care.
