Body of Water

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today we begin a new challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz. Sue, who sadly is poorly at present, has chosen #371 Body of Water- any interpration. To see the design team's inspiration please visit the blog.

I stamped the Sweet Dixie lighthouse first, and covered it with a mask. I then used Tim Holtz technique which he calls Wrinkle Free Distress technique. I used two Distress Oxides - Broken China and Mermaid Lagoon to provide the splattered background. I used all four of the stamps from the same set. The mask was removed, then  I coloured the lighthouse, yachts, rocks and birds with Promarkers, a white Gel pen and pencils. Take care and enjoy your crafating.

Things with Wings

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today at Make My Monday we begin a new challenge. Tee from the design team has chosen #250 Things with Wings. To see the remainder of the design team's inpiration please visit the blog.

I began with a 5" x 7" white card. I added a gold mirri, then a gold shimmer card, to provide an elegant, stylish background. Upon this I mounted the decoupaged dragon from pages in the Hunkdory Little Book of Dragons. There are 3 levels of decoupage to create the dragon and books. A sentiment added to the base. Happy crafting.

Zebra

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today we begin a new challenge at Alphabet Challenges. We have completed our 13th A - Z, so for the next two weeks to begin our 14th A-Z list of challenges, Helen has chosen for the letter A, to have A is for Alphabet, where the player can choose any letter, then a theme for that letter.

For my first card in this series, I have chosen to begin with the letter Z. I began with a 6" white card, with a black mat added. On a piece of white card, using a die cut circle I blended several yellow tones to greate a large yellow sun in the background. Using stamps of the zebra, and various strips to stamp, plus the flower and leaves I coloured them using Promarkers. They are all Crafty Indivdual stamps, from within a Creative Stamping Magazine #121. Once all coloured and fussy cut, I positioned and glued the pieces to the white piece of card. I added several black gemstones. I so enjoyed creating this card, I hope you also have some fun with your free choice letter.

For a Summer Art Deco card............

I began with a 7" white card, I folded back half way on the front of the card, to form a fold back card. I then covered the back piece with sparkly pink paper, I fussy cut the large oval of the summer Art Deco lady and the summer flowers. I placed these to the left of the card onto the fold back piece. Fancy Fold

Hello and welcome. Today we begin a new challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz.  Billie A  has chosen  #370 Fancy Fold. To see the remainder of the design team's inspiration, please visit the blog.

For my card I used dtwo sheets of 7" x 5" white card. I created a very simple, yet an effective fancy fold by scoring a line 1" and 1/4", on the left side.. I then decorated the card using a few pages from the Hunkydory Little Book Charming Chaps, including the greetings banner. On the fold at the side, using my Crop-o-dile, I added two  eyelets , tieing some black thread through them both, I then glued the back and front, up to the fold and added black gemstones.

For my card, I began with a 5" x 7" white card. I used a white silvery piece of card to cover the white card. I used a mid blue mat, then a silver mat for the beach scene which is from a nautical kit by Hunkydory. I decouaged the pair of wooden deckchairs and the large seabird. Finally adding  a silver die cut greeting.  I hope you enjoy the challenge. I wonder as in real live, will there be a lot of 'rain influenced cards?
