Seashells

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today we begin a new challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz. Deb H has chosen  #374 Seashells. To see the remainder of the design team's inspirational cards, please visit the blog.

I began with a 6" sq. plain white card for the base. A coral/orange mat. I used an embossing folder on the piece of blended blue card and the blended oranges card. The blue was cut for two border pieces, the gap was covered with a deep blue card. Both  of the embossed colours were sandpapered to present the white colour on both. I used Sheena Douglass shell stamps added a piece of hessian. Finally I addded pearl gems and varied colours of ocean sequins. The design and instructions I gleamed from a Simply Cards and Papercraft #245 magazine , which provided the E.F.  Happy shell creating.

Something Fishy

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today we begin a new challenge at Make My Monday, Guylaine has chosen #253 Somthing Fishy. I so love this title, there are many ways to include fish in our craft world, I think the design team have shown this in their inspirational cards. Please visit the blog to see them.

For my card, I started with a white 6" card, I folded the front page back, to create a Fold back card or maybe called a 'Z' fold card. I mounted black card on the half piece and the back page. The following papers/card added are from a Hunkydory Sporting Silhouettes design kit. I added 3 small square gems to complete. I hope you enjoy the challenge.

Include the word 'Merry'.

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today we begin our Sparkles Christmas Challenges for the month of June. Do you feel as thought the year is going SO fast? They say as you get older the years go faster. Melanie has chosen for our challenge #173 Include the word 'Merry' on your project. To see the wonderful inspiration from the design team, please visit the blog.

I began with a white 6" scallop edge card. From the long strip of Snowmen on the 'Snow People' stamp by Woodware, I masked off the lower two and stamped the upper three. I drew a rectangle around the stamped image and cut out all the white background, leaving only the snowmen. These were coloured with Promarkers. Lots of Sparkly Glamour dust was added. There is a blue insert to provide a colourful background, which can be see throught the gaps in the panel. The sentiment including the word Merry for the challenge is a die cut.

Dragonfly Dreams - One or More Butterflies

Hello and welcome to my  blog. Today a new challenge begins over at Dragonfly Dreams.  Claudia has chosen for the month of June - Butterflies - One or More. To see the remainder of the desisgn team's inspiration please visit the blog.

I began with a white 6" base card. The mat is a piece of sillky silver Mirri card, I then added a further mat of blue glitter card. For the topper I began with a sheet from a Hunkydory Little Book -  Butterfly Jewels. This was added onto a piece of silver Mirri card.  Each butterfly has two additional layers added to the original sheet. These are all decoupaged with 2d- 3d  foam strips. Silver Stickles glitter has been added to the thorax of each of them. I further added pale blue gem stones to the navy border and a few sprinkled onto the topper. The sentiment is added inside.
