Let's Go Fly A Kite


Hi everyone, thanks for visiting me. The challenge for the next week
at  Make My Monday  is   Let's Go Fly a Kite.

For my card, I remembered from way back I had a pad of 
pretty papers that had some kites in the pack.  How lucky was that?
The background papers are are from the paper pad Let's Fly Away, 
free with Quick Cards ages ago. 
The main stamped  image is by LOTV- Tree House
Coloured with Promarkers. 
The additional kites were made free hand, plus two from the
background papers on the sentiment from my stash.

One Layer Only


Hello, thanks for visiting my blog and of course for any 
comment, which is always appeciated. 
Today at My Time To Craft our challenge is for a 
One Layer Card
There are several interpretations of what is a one layer card?
We would appreciate you following the requirement on the blog, 
so please pop over to check them out and to see the DT's ideas. 
For my DT card, I decided upon a CAS card.
I love many of the Little Dinkie stamps from Little Claire,
this set of pots being one. I have coloured with Promarkers.
Drawn a few doodle lines to frame the pots and the sentiment.
Have fun with your one layer card and don't forget to pop back again. 

Mum's Rule UK Mother's Day


Hi everyone, hope your well, thanks for your visit.
Today, at Fantasy Stampers there is a new challenge for two weeks,
It is Mother's Day in the UK on March 6th.  Our challenge is
Mum's Rule  -Mother's Day, but if your not in the UK why don't you
prepare in advance for your own Mother's Day.
Please pop and see the Design Team's  created wonders.
For my card for the team, I have chosen, lilacs and purples, which 
are apparently the most favourite colours in the spectrum.
The side panel is from a Craftwork Cards paper pad - Velvet Plum
which has been fussy cut, glitter and purple gems added.
The sentiment is from a Papermania Bellisima paper pad set.
The lower right corner has all been stamped, using stamps
from Honey Doo stamps - Flowers By Design.
The assembled flowers have been glittered with a pink pearl
added to centre of the flower,

Hi, everyone, the challenge on CD Sunday is asking us
to say Thanks
I have used a 6" square scallop edge card.
matted onto silver mirri card, is a purple distressed paper.
The paper and images are all from  the CD - 
Sheena Douglass - Paint Fusion
An oldie but a favourite CD of mine. 
I have added purple ribbon and gems,
along with a Thanks sentiment.

Birds of a Feather


hi, everyone, thanks for yoru viist. Today at Cardz 4 Guyz, 
for one week  our challenge is...........................
Birds of a Feather
We want to see birds, not just a little one flying off the page, 
we want to know your card's main image is one or more birds. 
The Design Team have once again created fantastic inspiration,

For my card, I ahve used a 6" square Kraft card.
Used a bark embossing folder with a piece of Kraft card, 
Lightly coloured with DI Gathered Twigs.
Die cut an oval, stamped Little Claire
Swirly Whirly Owl Family.
Coloured with Promarkers.
Stamped Sheena Douglass Funky Flowers branch.
Coloured, fussy cut added with 3d dimensionals. 
The greeting is so cute, from Honey Doo Stamps.

Through a Window

Hello everyone, thanks for your visit. 
Today is the first day of the challenge for the next two weeks at
I had great fun with this challenge which is.....
Through A Window
The Design Team have again created wonderful inspiration.

For my card, I have created a window looking into a cafe.
I covered the front of a 6" square card with brick paper, from 
my go to CD - The Best of La Pache 2012.
I used a circle die to create the aperture.
I covered the inside of the front with acetate, adding the 
strips of white card  for the  wooden window sections.
On the cut out for the aperture I stamped 
LOTV - Coffee Break
Coloured with Promarkers.,
Glued the circle to a piece of card, then added to the  inside of the card.
CAFE is die cut using Sapphire Alphabet Upper case letters.

Z is for Zoo Animals


Hi, welcome to my blog, thanks for the visit.
Well, I can't believe it! we have again reached the end of the 
For the letter Z - the challenge will be
ZOO ANIMALS
Please pop and check out the wonderful ideas from the DT.
It is important for your animal to live in a zoo.
For my card, I have chosen a free digi stamp from the internet.
Like trains two Zoo animal challenges came along in the same week. 
I was lucky to have found this and the previous digi stamp.
I used a 5 x 7 inches card.
On white card I blended DI - Greens blues, yellow to create the background
The digi stamp was coloured with Promarkers.
I fussy cut the image and removed the landlocked white pieces.
I'm sure a young child will enjoy this card.

Get Ahead - Get A Hat

Today is the start of the new challenge at Cardz4 Galz.
This week the challenge chosen by Julie is 
Get Ahead - Get A Hat.

For my card.
My passion is stamping, yet I still enjoy creating cards with my
CD's.  From one design sheet, and two backing sheets,
 I have made 3 cards, this being one of them.
Here is another, you can see the 3rd here. 


All papers and images are from Debbie Moore - Haberdashery Shabby Chic CD.
For my first card, the stepper card I have simply added some card candi.
The second card has a dark blue mat for the background paper, which is from
a Papermania pack - Bellissima die cuts and paper.

Going to the Zoo


Hi everyone, welcome to my blog, I do love to have visitors.
For the next week at Cardz 4 Guyz  Jane has chosen 
a challenge which may suit the younger guyz in our lives.
Going to the Zoo
The Design Tam have had great fun with this challenge.
I hope you enjoy it too, please pop and check out their inspiration.
For my Card I have made a 5 x 7" card. I blended DIs Blues, 
Greens, with a little yellow for the background.
The main image is a free digi from those available on Pintrest.
I coloured it with Promarkers. 
Created a border using the bullet tip of a black Sharpie pen.
Greeting is from Crafaty Companions.

Something For the Males



Hello everyone, thanks for your visit.
Today is the 15th of the month, so it is time for a challenge for 
Our challenge is to provide 
Something For The Males

For my project I have made a card for someone who likes to fish.
Statistics say in the UK fishing is the most popular participated sport,
so this card has got to appeal to a lot of guys.
A 5 x 7 inches white card. Dark blue mat.
White card, blended using  Ranger DI -
 Twisted Citron, Broken China and Fossilized Amber 
Fishing stamp from Woodware stamps,
stamped 5 times on scraps of blue tone papers from
Papermania Capsule paper pad - Blueberry Pie.
Paper pieced to cover the fishing word. 
A dotty border and a punched circle in each corner. 

Love ( Use the Word)


Hello again, thanks for your visit. I do appreciate you taking the time.
At Make My Monday for the next two weeks, our challenge is
LOVE - but the twist is we want to clearly see the word LOVE

For my card, I have used neutral colours, it all started the a new
paper pad  I love the Dovecraft - Papermania Capsule collections, 
this one being Midnight Blush. 
The main image stamp is from LOTV -  Love Balloon.
I used Promarkers to add colour. 
The Love sentiment is from Papermania - Sweet Nothings set.
Flowers and leaves - stamps by Sheena Douglas - Flower Power - 
stamped onto the lighter papers in the pack. 
3 red gems - black card for matting.

Just One Layer


Once again it is that time for Fantasy Stampers challenge. 
The challenge for the next two weeks is 
Just One Layer.
The Design Team have created some wonderful cards, please don't miss
a visit to see them and for details of the challenge. The most 
important requirement is -- for you to actually use a Stamp. 
For my card, I have used a 6" square scallop edge card.
Upon the slightly smaller layer I have partly inked through an
Imagination stencil with Mustard Seed and Wild Honey DI,
to create the background.
The stamp is Meadow Flowers from Woodware Stamps.
Coloured with Promarkers. 
Light blending around the edges with the Mustard Seed.
Black edges created with a black pen.

Check It Out


This week at My Time To Craft (MTTC) the
challenge is 
Check It Out
which, of course is requiring to see checks or if you prefer, gingham.

I was inspired by a card I spied on Pinterest. 
I used a piece of orange/yellow check paper left over from another project,
for the background on this 5" x 7" card.
A piece of white card with a die cut butterfly. 
a piece of orange ribbon, a few check card candi. 
A quick and easy card for the times when you need one.

Hello again, great fun, I am actually joining in a challenge.
I love playing with my CD's and of course, the best place to be inspired
and challenged to use them is CD  Sunday Challenges. 
Their current challenge is

For the card I have created, all the papers are from 
Debbie Moore Haberdashery Shabby Chic.
There are several layers. I have added 5 small buttons.
A soft vintage style card.

Hi everyone, welcome to my blog. 
Today my card is for the DT at Cardz 4 Guyz.

Valentine or Love

For My Card
I decided to go simple and elegant.
A C6  white card, matted with silver mirri.
A white card embossed with a Darice - Lips embossing folder.
Hearts covered with the word Love are by MSE (My Sentiments Exactly)
a US stamp company. One heart heat embossed with Wow! Black EP, 
the second with Wow!  Platinum EP.
Sentiment - Love from Paprmania Sweet Nothings set. 
White ribbon to enhance.

Arrows

Today my card is for the challenge at Make My Monday
Arrows
If you pop over to the blog you will find, the original idea was 
along the lines of Valentine shooting arrows, some greata cards from the DT. 
There can be many uses for arrows, as I was needing a card for young lad
this is the card I have created. 
For My Card
A 7" square scallop edge card. 
Matted layers with red card.
Papers from Papermania Mr. Mister Die cut and paper pad.
Arrows cut using a Fiskars heart punch - inspired from Pinterest. 
Stamp -Cool Dude from Woodware stamps.
Coloured with Promarkers.

Hello again, for the next two weeks at Alphabet Challenges
we have reached the letter Y - so we would like 
You to Choose.

For my card, I have been working with a wonderful
bargain I purchased at a recent craft show,
Papermaina Die Cut and Paper Pack - Bellisiama.
The gorgeous soft pink and green has made a very pretty
girly card. I added pink pearls.
I'm so looking forward to playing with the pack, 
to make lots more cards.

Fantastic Florals


Hello again, today starts the new challenge at Cardz 4 Galz.
The challenge is Fantastic Florals
Please pop and check out the DT inspiration, would be a shame to miss them.
I have used an 8" square card, matted with black card. 
I used a super smooth sheet of white card and got messy
with various yellow and blue tones of Distress inks, blending 
and more blending. A few splashes of water here and there. 
all the flowers are from Sheena Douglass Flower Power stamps. 
All coloured with the same Distress inks as the backround.
Glossy Accent into the centres and lots of glitter on the petals.
The sentiment is also from Sheena Douglass. 
Have fun with your flowers.

I used a white scallop edge 6" square card.

Script stamped with Worn Lipstick.
Flowers coloured with Distress inks using them as watercolours.
Worn Lipstick and Festive Berries, remainder with Peeled Paint.

Make it Shine or Sparkle

I chose the challenge, which is

Time to get out the mica powders, glittery embossing powders,
 gilding flakes, waxes, mirri card etc. etc.

I used a white scallop edge card.
Matted with a sheet of black card, covered in pink shiny mirri
hearts, taken from a DCWV pad Rockstar.
Shiny pink ribbon, yes I know guyz who like pink.

For My Card
I decided to make a CAS Valentine card.
The hearts  and greeting are from a Papermania stamp set

I hae added some red ribbon, pink and white twine
and a number of mini crystal gems.
