Hobbies

Hello everyone, welcome to my blog. Today we begin a new challenge at Make My Monday. Pamela has chosen for us #208 Hobbies!, We can choose any form of a hobby, whether it be for male, female or even both. It will be interesting to see the hobbies you choose. To see the design team's wonderful creations please visit the blog.

I began with a 5 x 7" white card blank. I created the background by folding over the edges of a piece of   spare card with various colours and patterns of Washi tape. I only needed approximately 3/4" around the edges. This was then glued to the main body of the card. I fussy cut from 3 sheets of the sewing machine design from a Sewing Little Book from Hunkydory to create the decoupaged design, adhered to a piece of gold Mirri card. This was then adhered to the card with the Washi tape. I added  a stamped sentiment from my stash. I hope you enjoy the challenge, there are so many hobbies to choose from. Look in your stash, I am sure you will find something. Have fun, it's different. Stay well.

I apologise for being late, but I have not been feeling well enough to make a card, until today. Been to the GP surgery, for an assessment about the new tablet  I've started. Enough, if not too much about me.
My 5 x 7 " card, I used the broad end of a Promarker pen, to colour around the card.  The main water colour image has been coloured with Distress Inks as watercolours. The palm trees coloured with Koh-I- Noor watercolours. The stamps and sentiment were enclosed with the Creative Stamping magazine #96 - Stamping set - Summer Escapes. Matted onto a yellow card and added with 3d foam pads.
Again, sorry for being late, I hope you enjoy the challenge, please pay a visit to one or more of the design team, they love to hear from you.

Dragonfly at Dragonfly Dreams

Hello, welcome to my blog. Today we begin a new monthly challenge at Dragonfly Dreams.  On the DT, it is my turn to choose the challenge, I chose # Dragonfly. Please visit the blog to see the wonderful inspiration from the DT.

I made a 6" white card, the mat is a green card with a further double layer mat with black and pink. The main layer was a piece of white card, i experimented on my gel plate with a piece of corrugated card. The green 'splodge' looks a lot better in life, not as in the photo, it is paint with a pigment of mica, so is very shiny. The Dragonfly stamp with script was from The Stampman, from way back. A red rubber stamp I treasure. I stamped the wings a few times, the top layer, was stamped with Bluebell ink, coloured with green Promarker and finally Diamond Stickles added. gems and sequins applied to give a little more sparkle. I hope you enjoy the challenge, I look forward to viewing your projects with a Dragonfly.
