Silver or Gold

Hi everyone, yes it is the 1st of March, so we are starting a
new challenge over at Sparkles Monthly Christmas Challenges
Please pop over to see the amazing creations from the Design Team.
I have made a 7 x 5 " card,  the card is white with silver mirri
for the background mat.  Sadly the photo doesn't show the bling of
the Silver Bells Wow! embossing powders. or the silver mirri card.
The white background has been stamped with Spruce from Sheena Douglas
Faith set then embossed with the Silver Bells EP.
The baubles and bows from Chloe's Creative Cards were also embossed with
the same EP. Added to the card with dimension  3d foam stickers.
The sentiment from my stash.
Hope to see you enter the challenge.

Inkyspirational DT Call - Card 2

Mynette is looking for a DT for her new upcoming Inkyspirational Challenge Blog, please check here for more information. this is my second of four cards for the DT call. A colour combination, not, if I may say Mynette, the easiest in the world, but it certainly made me think. LOL.
This is the required colour palette....................
This is my interpretation of the colours, maybe not a perfect mix, I think my colours may have got diluted crossing the big pond. LOL

The main design of the card was matted onto the dark brown. I brushed around all edges with Broken China DI (sky blue) I used all 3 colours to stamp the flowers and leaves, using some of my well loved Tapestry stamps. The fairies are from a Sheena stamp set, 'Hidden Fairies with Ivy'. I used a punch for the decorative border on the brown paper. Added a decoupaged blue bow from Chloe stamps. Adding some stamping onto the flap of the envelope adds even more interest before the card is even opened. Many thanks to my those who have recently added to my followers,I do hope you enjoy your visits and find something which either helps, guides or maybe just gives you pleasure.

B- is for Busy Bugs

This week at the Alphabet Challenge, sees us at letter B - Busy Bugs~ any bug you wish, remember it also need not be a card, any crafted item with a bug or bugs. Please do pop over to the blog, for the DT have made some wonderful 'Bug' cards.  I so enjoyed visiting your animal antics last week, there were some super cards amongst them. For my card, it is a good coincidence that I used Stamps by Chloe who also happened to be on Create and Craft today with her wonderful stamps. I made my card using a piece of pretty pink paper from my stash. The small flower and butterfly have been stamped onto white vellum and heat embossed with Silver Bells Wow! embossing powder. A few flowers and gems added. Once again I look forward to visiting you to see your bugs. Have fun everyone. Thanks for visiting me and for any comments you may leave, for which I am very appreciative.

Christmas Foilage at MMM

We at Make My Monday are continuing our theme of Christmas for the month of November, for this week we would like to see your creations showing either  FLOWERS, FOILAGE or SNOWFLAKES. Such a wide choice available. Please pop over to the blog to check out the Design Teams creations which are fabulous, so many styles showing the required theme. i will again look forward to visiting your blogs.
For my card, I stamped my favourite swirl stamp, heat embossed with Silver Bells Wow! E.P.  added some pearls and crystals. I stamped the main image, the foilage heart wreath and ribbon as I had the dge of the card. Again added pearls and crystals to decorate, Matted onto a piece of silver mirri card.
Stamps used
Foilage heart from Chloe's Creative Cards    Swirl Stamp - La Blanche  - Bow stamp -Debbie Moore from the top of Christms Stockings.
For a complete contrast, I also made this card,  the layered poinsettia, being the focal point. I stamped onto both green and red card, using gold EP. Cut, layered the levels. In the centre of the poinsettia I glued small gold beads. Stamp designed by Dawn Bibby by Personal Impressions.
A little story of the Poinsettia.............................
A Mexican legend explains how Poinsettias came to be associated with Christmas. Apparently a little girl who could not afford a gift to offer to Christ on Christmas Eve picked some weeds from the side of the road. The child was told a humble gift, if given in love, would be acceptable in God's eyes. When brought into the church, the weeds bloomed into red and green flowers and the congregation felt they had witnessed a true Chrismas miracle in the village called Poinsettia. .................

No 3 for St. Luke's challenge

This is my 3rd card, for the Christmas month at St. Luke's Charity Card Challenge. I used a pearlised dark blue card, stamped the pine needles with Perfect Medium (or Versamark), used Silver Bells WOW! Embossing powder, what a fabulous holographic shine it gives. The stamp is from Creative Expressions designed by Sheena Douglass. I then stamped and embossed in the same way some bauble stamps which are from a new designer, who has some fabulous stamps at Chloe's Creative Cards. The sentiment is a Crafter's Companion one I think. I have a small parcel of Christmas cards ready to post to you ladies, probably Friday this week for your Christmas Fayre which to remind folk is on November 27th, I am sure they would appreciate any donations for their big fund raising event.

A Lonely Heart

This is probably as Clean and Simple as I can get, I still find the concept of minimal to be difficult. The task at Less Is More has been made easier this week of the combination of the challenge being a Heart and of my discovery at a recent craft event of a new and exciting stamp designer at http://www.chloescreativecards.co.uk/
from whom I purchased the lovely heart stamp, which I stamped with a Black Memento ink pad and coloured the red berries with a Ruby Sparkle Gelly Roll Sakura pen.
