Favourite Stamp MAWTT

Hello, welcome to my blog. I am so happy, I have been invited to join the wonderful design team at  Moving Along With TheTimes. The challenge for June is Your Favourite Stamp. To see the inspiration created by the team, please visit the blog.

For  my first design team card, I thought Oh! my Favourite Stamp? I have so many stamps and So many of them could be classed as favourites, I'm sure there are many of you who enjoy stamping are feeling the same. Which do I choose? I decided to make it easy on myself and I chose my latest stamp purchased. It was created by the marvellous Andy Skinner and is called 'Blowing Bubbles' I began with a 7" x 5" white card, I cut a piece of white smooth card to fit on a black mat. I then blended blue and yellow DIs from Ranger . I stamped using Versafine Claire - Nocturne ink. The sentment is with the stamp. I blended with the same blue ink around the edges, added the piece to the black card. Using a Blue Promarker's chisel end I dedged the white card, finally  adding  the pieces as one. I hope you enjoy creating your card with your Favourite Stamp.

Add Texture with Dry/Heat Embosing

Hello, thanks for taking the time to visit. Today we begin a new challenge a Make My Monday. Melissa has chosen #279 Add Texture with Dry/Heat Embossing. .To see the inspirational creations by the design team please visit the blog.

I began by embossing a tan piece of card, using a bark design embossing folder. I then swished it over with a DI Gathered Twigs ink pad.. This took some time to dry naturally. Meanwhile I created the decoupaged squirrel from a Hunkydory kit. To complete the card, I added the embossed card onto a dark brown card as a mat, then this was added to a 6" white card. A paper strip added to ground the squirrel and the sentiment were finally added. Have fun embossing your card/project.

Pearly Sparkles -This Makes Me Smile

Hello and welcome. Today at Pearly Sparkles, Larelyn has chosen for the monthly challenge -                   This Makes Me Smile. To see the creative interpretations from the design team, please visit the blog.

Apart from my family, my next thought of what makes me smile, is the beach and the sea. Trips to the coast, are my happy, fun days, even on cold wet days. I am lucky to live within an hour's drive to some of the North of England's best beaches. I recently received a kit from Hunkydory called Coastal Charm. I have used designs from the Little Book and a few pages from the 8 x 8 inches paper pad. I first began making a 7" x 5" white easel card and decorated the front and base with the papers. The fussy cut shells are positioned with foam pads to act as the stopper for the easel. The sentiment is an old one from my stash added to the sand. I look forward to seeing what makes you smile over the next month. Take care.

Jingle Bells with bells

Hello, thanks for your visit. Today we begin our new challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenges - Debbie has chose for #185 Jingle Bells, but we do need to see some bells. To see the inspiration and designs from the design team, please visit the blog.

I began with the stamp, a Woodware design -Christmas Bells. this has been a favourite of mine for a number of years, it is so adaptable. Using black ink I stamped the whole design onto a piece of white card.

I then stamped the bells only twice more and the bows in total only one more time. They were then fussy cut and coloured the outer parts of a the bottom two layers and all of the uppermost bells and bows. I used Promarker red pens and gold glitter pens.I coloured the card with the gold glitter pen and added gold jewels to decorate the base of the card. I stamped the sentiment .The decoupaed pieces were finally added. The white cardstock was then added to red and gold Mirri card onto a plain 8" x 4" white card.
