Stripes

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today at Cardz 4 Galz we begin with a new challenge, chosen by Dawn, #247 Stripes. To see the remainder of the design team's inspiration please visit the blog.

I began with a 5.5" white sq. card, I wanted something pretty for the galz but to have interesting stripes, so I ventured onto Pinterest and was inspired by the floating circles, hence, this is the card style I made.

It all began by die cutting a circle of strong acetate. I cut six strips of paper approx 1/2 " deep, from a paper pad.  I stamped the sentiment from my stash. The paper pieces were glued to the acetate, then cut around the circle when dry. I adhered the circle to the card with foam strips added behind the paper strips. I then die cut a flower from Lisa Horton's wild flower dies. Clean, simple and I think feminine.

Fun and Games

Hi, welcome to my blog.  Today we begin a our new challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz. It being my turn, I chose the challenge, #369 Fun and Games. To see the remainder of the design team's inspiration, please visit the blog.

For my card, I created a 7" sq card showing the lively sport of Badminton. This one one of my favourite activities in days gone by. I created the card by sorting pieces of a Hunkydodry kit of Sporting Silhouettes. I used 3 d foam pads to lift some of the pieces to give differing heights and dimensions. I also added a relevent insert. I hope you enjoy the challenge, so many vasriables depicting either a fun activity or a participant game. I look forward to seeing your entries.

Christmas Foliage

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today we begin a new challenge at our monthly Sparkles Christmas Challenges. Dawn, from the design team has chosen #171 Christmas Foliage. To see the remainder of the team's inspirational projects, please visit the blog.

I began with a 6" white card, I  added a blue card for a mat. Using a piece of white card. I lightly stamped small blue flowers in each corner of the card. Then I lightly blended with blue ink around the edges. I used the stamps Festive Florals from the Creative Stamping magazine #101. I re-stamped the flowers and foliage, coloured them with Promarkers, fussy cut and adhered to the circle with 3D foam pads. The sentiment is a freebie in my stash.
