Hot Air Balloons

Hi, welcome to my blog. Today at Make My Monday, I have chosen for our new challenge                       #259 Hot-Air Balloons. To see the remainder of the design team's inspiration please visit the blog.

I began by ink blending the sky with several pale blue DI'. Then I ink blended the sand, with two of the yellowshades of DI's. The deck chairs and brolley were stamped on white card, coloured with Promrkers, then fussy cut before adhering to the card. These and the clouds are from a Creative magazine. The sentiment is from my stash. The Hot Air Balloons are from a die, sorry I have forgottten the source. I hope you have fun with the challenge.

J is for Jump/Jumping

Hello and welcome. Today at Alphabet Challenges, Melanie has chosen J is for Jump/Jumping.  To see the design team's inspiration, please visit the blog. The team, have chosen, animals and people who are jumping, a fine selection to inspire you.

As usual I chose my favourite white 6" sq. card to begin. I added a black and then an orange mat. I stamped the basketball net first, then stamped onto a Post it note, covering the net. I then ink blended DI Broken China firstly to the upper most of the card. Using a Hunkdory Orange Zest -Prism ink pad I stamped the sports bag. When this had dried, I then added the same ink to my glass mat wet it and ink blended around the bag, following up with more water added and splashing with a fan brush. I then completed the blue ink blending and removed the Post it note.  I stamped and cut out the baseball. Stamped the two sentiments. Then added the basketball player twice, showing he was jumping. All of the stamps are from the All Sorts of Sports & Sporting Silhouettes stamp sets, which were indcluded in a Creative Stamping #92 magazine. I enjoyed this challenge, and making this card. Take care.

Use Vellum

Hello and welcome to my blog. today we begin a new challenge at Card 4 Galz. Johanna has chosen  #257 Use Vellum. To see the design team's inspiration please visit the blog.

I began by stamping a Woodware stamp - 'Burst into Bloom' onto a piece of vellum. I used Versamark ink sprinkled with silver embossing powder, then heat embossed. On the reverse of the vellum, I coloured the leaves with two green Promarker alcohol pens. For the flowers I used a small embossing ball tool to rub each flower numerous times to stretch the vellum which created the white flowers. The vellum was then secured within a Hunkydory aperture frame. The sentiment 'Have a lovely day' was die cut in white, on a silver background. I hope you enjoy playing/creating with some vellum, there are  so many beautiful techniques/ideas out there. Best wishes and take care.

Boats

Hello and welcome to my bog. Today at Cardz 4 Guyz we begin another monthly challenge with        #377 Boats chosen by Dawn. To see the inspiration from the design team, plaease visit the blog.

I began with a white 7 x 5 inches card. I added a Mirri silver mat. The blue paper is a sheet from a Duo Design pad - Hunkydory. The main image is from a Hunkydory Little Book - Nautical. The first layer, was one sheet divided into three, with a little cut from each outer edge to allow it's own silver mat to shine through. I then added a second layer to the middle section and decoupaged the sitting and one flying seagull. Next I added a fussy coat boat, which gives further dimension to the main topic. Finally I added a sentiment from the  Hunkydory - Just my Type pad of sentiments. Take care.

to see the inspiration created by the design team, please visit the blog.

I began with a black 6" sq. card, which I matted with silver Mirri card. My designed card was created by blending DI from Tim Holtz. The silhouette stamps are from Sheena Douglass, stamped using Versafine ink. The explosion bursts were heat embossed with gold, silver and red embossing powders.

I hope you have fun blending your inks.
