This week at Less Is More, we have been given the challenge of a Masculine card. there are lots more guys in my family than we girls, so I have to make quite a few guy's cards, but still never feel I've got the same satisfaction from when I make a female card. Here is my card, with a luxury speedboat, a dream for a lot of guys. Speed is their thing! Stamped the boat in, Mediterranean Blue Brilliance ink. I coloured the boat with a pencil and added silver highlights on the metal work with a Sakura Silver pen. To the waves I rubbed with my finger a blob of white/silver glitter glue. I choose a wavy sentiment to match the waves. Thanks girls for the contiuing interesting swaps you are giving us. Certainly makes me think before I stamp.Sunday, 20 March 2011

The image is super Cazro, but I think I would have chosen either the nipped out corners or the brads, but not both... the brads seem a little displaced beside the punched corners. Just my thoughts you understand!

great guy card! yes... they do love speed!
ReplyDeleteGreat stamp - so unique. I love the way you offset the image with a black border and ticket punch. As far as the brads, I think they have a place, but on the inside curve of the notched corners. At any rate, any speed demon will love getting this card!

Speedboats are fantastic things and i can see how many men would love to own one... Great image and colours but i hope you don't mind me saying i wouldn't have used the brads at all, i think your main image is just so fantastic with the glitter waves and sentiment:-)
ReplyDeleteI do appreciate everyone's comments, it is interesting to hear other person's points of view. I know it is maybe not the done thing to reply on your own blog, so I read somewhere. It doesn't effect your comments but they are not brads - they are silver waste dots from a peel off sheet. Caz
