This week at CD Sunday Challenges Beryl has chosen S is for.................whatever you want it to be, the design team have such a varied selection, still leaving many choices for the letter S. I decided to choose
STEAMPUNK. Okay, I think some of you may be saying 'What is Steampunk'? This is an excellent explanation from the CD I used from Jem's Designs - Steampunk Fairies and Friends.
' Steampunk is set around the Victorian era. You could liken it to a novel by the great author Jules Verne 20, 000 Leagues under the sea, It's all about Trains, Airships, Airplanes, Cars, Bicycles, Machinery, and anything else that could (or could be imagined) to be run by steam, looking old and rusty. The clothing is just as weird, and wonderful with Hats, Goggles, Boots, Jewellery, Glasses, Keys, Clocks and Cogs.'
The Butterflies and sentiment are from Debbie Moore Shabby Chic - Time Flies CD, the remainder from the CD mentioned above. For the main body of the card I used black card, a layer of silver embossed mirri card then a layer and main image from the CD.
Steampunk is an acquired taste you ether like it, get it or the you don't. I thought I'd try something different. Me, I like Steampunk, took me a while to get it but I'm a devout follower know. Waiting for another CD to arrive, can't wait for it landing on my doorstep. I'll be around to see what you found to do with the letter S.Most of all have fun everyone.
WOW! That's steampunk at it's best - I love it!
ReplyDeleteI really like this Caz and with the sassy looking lady I'm sure it will appeal to lots of people. It's nice to do different things too.

Another great take on the challenge.......didn't think of steampunk.....something a bit different. They make great men's cards too. Now there's a challenge!! I love the addition of the butterfly.

This is a super card Caz and I am with you on Steampunk. At first I wasn't sure about it but now it has grown on me. Your design is so different and love the addition of the butterfly.

No one does Steampunk like you do Caz. That's the honest truth coming from someone who "doesn't get it"! Absolutely fabulous creation. So glad your husband's operation is over and I trust he is getting stronger everyday. You are both in my thoughts. Michelle x
