Dance at CD Sunday

This week at CD Sunday Challenges Carol has chosen Dance, this give loads of scope for the challenge.
I decided upon a Cabaret form of Dance, which is from a Maria G Design CD Fashion. I am hoping the close up will show the glitter I have added to the Dancer. I made a step card, I really do not get along well with measurements, I find if I draw lines and cut on a sheet of copy paper, score and fold till I get what I want, then I have a copy for my card. I used gold mirri card, black and cream for matting and layering. The greeting is from Time Flies a Debbie Moore Shabby Chic CD.  Flowers and leaves from stash.
Hint re - the flowers. As with everything that has the word craft attached to it, the item is pricey, so if you look around where artificial flowers are sold you can often pick up some bargains, as I did with the flowers I used.  I love the challenge this week , so I will be even more thrilled to be visiting you to see which form of Dance you have decided upon.

  1. A lovely image Caz and your flowers are gorgeous. I've only ever made a couple of stepper cards but they look so good when they're done I really must have another go.

  2. A gorgeous card Caz, I can see I must go and check this Maria G out. She has some lovely designs. I'm glad hubby is now out of hospital, and doing well. I know I was surprised at how quickly my Mum was sent home, but she went from strength to strength and was back in her own home in no time.

  3. A beautiful card Caz, I love the image and your flowers are gorgeous. I have bought some beautiful artificial flowers recently and they were from a florist.
    Pleased that hubby is improving.
    Hugs xx

  4. You've chosen a great CD image for this challenge - love the subtle touches of glitter too and the style of card.

  5. Stunning Caz. Love the image. I don't have this CD but I'll be checking it out!!!
I know what you mean about the cost of flowers. I do have a stash of paper roses that I made ages ago but now I've embarked on making my own ribbon roses. I didn't realise how easy it would be. My little stash is starting to build up.

  6. Very atmospheric - the stepper shape was a good choice and great way to show off the flowers. Marina

  7. Gorgeous card Caz, great to see you today and so pleased that hubby is recovering well.

  9. Another beautiful card Caz. She is a real beauty that cabaret dancer. I too made a stepper card and I also don't do measurements well! I make a template as well although this time I ended up wasting four pieces of card before it finally came together! Michelle x
