Monotone

Hello and welcome. Today we begin a new challenge at Make My Monday (MMM) - Dawn has chosen #275 Monotone. To see the creations by the design team, please visit the blog.

I began with a 7 x 5 inches white card. The mat is of a very dark royal blue. The pale background, denim, and the circles were all from a Hunkydory A5 Essential Denim paper pad. I used dies to create the circles, a few raised on foam pads. A strip of the mat card lies down the left side with three dark blue gems. The 'Birthday' die is from old stash and the Hugs die is a 'newish' die from Humkydory. I hope you like my Monotone card. I look forward to seeing the entries in the challenge blog.

Hobbies

Hello, thanks for pooping by. Today we begin a new challenge at Make My Monday. Pamela, from the design team has chosen #274 Hobbies.  To see the inspiring creations from the other design team memebrs, please visit the blog.

For my card, I began with a white 6" sq. card. I was inspired by the stamp set and a project in a magazine. All the stamps are from a stamps set - Crafting with your Friends. in Creative Stamping # 91. I added a black mat, the added a white back panel.  I then cut a smaller piece of black and white watercolour  to form the centre panel. I added a number of colours directly from the ink pad onto an acrylic blog, sprayed water the stamped onto the watercolour card, which created the 'messy' art project. Once I had marked the size, I then stamped and coloured the surrounding art materials. The art panel was added with 3d foam pads. Happy Birthday greeting added from my stash.
