Anything Goes # 3

Hello, thanks for your visit, hope your well.
Today we start ou two weekly challenge at
our theme will always be  Anything Goes.
Please pay a visit to check out the DT inspiration.
I love to see monochrome black and white.  This fabulous
reindeer stamp is by Woodware Stamps with the adorable
little verse. I had fun playing with zentangles to decorate
the reindeer. The only colour added being the red bow, his
shiny red nose and his red heart.
Take care and look after yourself.

Clean and Simple

Hello, welcome to my blog, I do appreciate you took the time to visit.
Today is the start of a two weekly challenge at Fantasy Stampers.
We are a STAMPING blog, you are required to actually use a stamp.
The new challenge is Clean and Simple.
Please pop over to the blog to check out the details and to see the
super entries from the Design Team.
For my card, I know at first glance it does look as if I have spent
some time zentangling the images, but no, truth is these are the actual stamps
from Dare 2 B Artsy - Butterflies and Flowers.
I have added more black in certain areas with a Micron pen, but this was a
very quick and easy card to make.
Have fun - I hope you enjoy the challenge.

Zentangle It!

This week at My Time To Craft (MTTC) we are challenging you to Zentangle It!. Now don't panic, as you will find looking at the blog, the Design Team are not all tanglers, so you need only attempt a small amount or you can even use a CD with Zentangles if you own one. The idea is to either allow you to demonstrate your tangling or to practice a new skill, it can be very relaxing and therapeutic.
I have kept my card simple not to detracat from the Woodware Camelia stamp which I have filled with tangles. Have fun, check out on You Tube, Pinterest or other media sources.

z is for Zentangles

At Alphabet Challenges, for the final letter of this series, Z is for Zentangles. There are lots of ideas and inspiration on Pinterest and You Tube, so don't feel you have no idea what this is all about. It is simply a posh and creative way of explaining doodling, which we all do in those relaxed moments if we have a pen in our hand. Please check out the Design Team's inspired cards. For my card, I have used for my image a free digi I found on Pinterest. Doodled away to fill in the large open spaces.  I matted onto black and kraft card, using the Papermania spotted black and white card for the main background. Have fun, please give it a try, I am sure you will be surprised at what you can achieve.

Non-Traditional Christmas

Hi, for the next two weeks at Ruby's Rainbow, the challenge is to make a project for Christmas but for it to be a Non-Traditional design. After seeing my Design Team card why not pop over to the blog to check out the amazing inspiration from the team. Firstly I thought about colour, black and white has not as yet, become traditional. I love doing Zentangle work, I'm not as good as I would like to be, but I am practicing. This Rudolph stamp from Woodware is the perfect open space needed to play with the tangles. The small tag Christmas greeting is from LOTV.  I hope you like my Non -Traditional style Christmas card. Have fun everyone.

Santa

The Christmas cards are appearing everywhere now, we are hoping to see a lot more this week at
My Time To Craft because our theme is Santa, yes, the wonderful guy who visits our children of all ages, once a year. I greatly enjoy Zentangling, so this stamp from Woodware with the word Santa was the perfect choice and excuse for me to play. Zentangling is not difficult, best described as 'doodling for adults'. The background card is stamped with Ho Ho Ho from the same stamp set. Glitter has been added to the hat. Hope you enjoy the challenge, I'm looking forward to seeing lots of Santas over the next week. Have fun.

R is for Round or Rectangle

Alphabet Challenge's theme this week was chosen by me, so I hope you enjoy it. For the letter R - I have chosen Round or Rectangle, easy one isn't it?    Why don't you pop over to the main blog and see my team buddies wonderful creations.  I was inspired by a crafting friend Viv Howe with her card, to Zentangle  into this Woodware Snow stamp. The best description of Zentangling I have heard is ' doodling for grown -ups'. It is so relaxing, nothing is regimental or required, you have the freedom to do what you will. I stamped the background card with a small snowflake stamp.  I added glitter onto the snowflakes and around the edges of the Snow panel, I'm hoping it will show when you click for a close up. Have fun and enjoy playing with either a Round or Rectangle project.

F is for Feathers

Hi everyone, it's Friday, and we are up to the letter F at Alphabet Challenges, Avril has chosen for the challenge Feathers. At first you may think not a lot of choice, but the more I thought, there is a world of Feathers out there, loads of wonderful birds with their feathers, feathers adorning magnificent dresses, feathers in Indian countries, feathers decorating Dream Catchers, fishermen use feathers on their lines.
Sometime ago I purchased Sarah Hallum's first Zentangle CD which is amazing, I decided to simply go with an image of a Zentangled Feather, if you click to enlarge, the designs within the feather are amazing. I used a small feather stamp, free with a Craft Stamper magazine issue, for the background of the card.  I look forward to visiting you and thanks to those who took the time to visit my blog and for any comments left.

Butterflies at CD Sunday Challenges

This week at CD Sunday Challenges Wendy has chosen Butterflies for our challenge. Most people love butterflies, well except for my husband, nice to look at but from a distance. We once went to a butterfly farm, a new experience for us both, as soon as we walked into the area, the butterflies were flying around so freely, beautiful specimens and my hubby was off like a rocket exiting through the entrance. I had to go all the way through on my own to get to the other end to find out what was wrong, he had discovered he has a phobia of wings fluttering around his head. Sorry, I digress, back to business. Butterflies are popular with crafter's so we should be having a busy week ahead, lots of CDs out there with butterflies. I decided to use my new Tangletastic CD of Zentangles from Sarah Hallum of Peerless Designs. If you click on the picture to see it enlarged you will see more closely the wonderful doodle art she has created on the butterflies. I made an easel card, with a slight difference. I adhered the butterfly onto a piece of black card but cut around the upper part of the butterfly to give the appearance of it being in mid air. The other two butterflies are from the background paper, adhered onto card. The greeting was embossed with white extra fine embossing powder, the greeting  stamp is from Hobby Art. Have fun with your challenge this week everyone.

Make Your Mark Zentangles

At Addicted to Stamps and More (ATSM) this week our Make Your Mark Challenge # 52. Recently my husband has been in hospital for 5 weeks,a  long, lonely and worrying time. During this time a friend suggested I tangled, I knew about tangling but hadn't really given it a try beyond simple applications. However, I decided to give it a go, it certainly becomes a stress - releasing thought processing way to pass time. I used a Woodware stamp of a rose, which has lots of open spaces. With the help of many Zentangle patterns available on the internet, you only need to Google Zentangles you will be swamped with web sites, of course those in the USA have a huge community and following of this form of art.  I used a Micron Pen ( a fine pointed marker pen) to create the patterns. if you enlarge the picture you will see it in more detail.  I look forward to visiting you to see how you have Made Your mark over the next week. Have fun.
Thank you to our sponsors this week

Doodling Away - Zentangles

This card, for a change, isn't for a blog challenge, I have been a member of a Yahoo swapping cards group for many years and this card is the last in our ABC of cards over the past two years, -Z for Zentangles. I've only done this once before, check it out on my labels list. I started out using a pear stamp designed by Sheena Douglass for Creative Expressions, then the doodling began. I even added a little butterfly for fun and a border. i do hope my partner likes this card which I  will be posting tomorrow.
More detail here or click for a close
I have decided to add this to the Charisma Cardz Challenge for the Masking Technique, I did mask the standing pear to stamp the lying down pear. Hope it is acceptable.

Less is more - Circles Again!

This is my 3rd entry today please look below, to see  Less is More First entry and                 ATC's for CCM Spotlight, also below is my vintage distressed for Make My Monday.
This is the first time I have entered a second time in Less Is More, but I have missed a couple of weeks, so why not?  This could be the simplest card I have made, yet it did take some time. I stamped the letters using Memento Black Onyz ink, allowed a few minutes to dry, then punched them out with a 3/4" circle punch.
Lined them up , tried to make it look equal. I then added a line of Zentangle circles to add a litle extra interest.  The Alphabet stamps are from a See D set 50693 Circle Letters and Numbers.

Z is for........

I apologise for the first few hours this was up, for some reason it wouldn't enlarge. I deleted the pic and added it again, I am pleased to say it does now enlarge when you click on it.
ZENTANGLE.  This week the girls at Less Is More really set my mind in a twirl. The challenge this week being A Monogram. A case of 99% perspiration and 1% inspiration in the words of good old Albert Enstein. Late last night the 1% inspiration light bulb flashed. This is my first real attempt at Zentangles, which is the artistic form of doodling. I had such fun doing this. The pic will now enlarge, sorry for earlier in the day.
Also entering this into Just 4 Fun - Getting Tangled Up.
