I chose an image from a Marie G Designs -International CD

Just 4 Men, I purchased this a few years ago on E-Bay.

I coloured the main card with Vintage Photo DT, then stamped

 the background using a Debbie Moore set of Travel stamps.

I have painted and decorated an MDF door hanger, using

stamps, paint, Distress inks, torn distressed papers and card.

Added Frantage gold mixed embossing powder, stamped 

and created a flower. Added lace and gems. 

Fall Colours for Galz

Hi, today a new challenge starts at Cardz 4 Galz.

Fall (Autumn ) Colours

For my card, I have used as many of the autumn colours as I could

manage to work in my design. I have blended many of the TH Distress

Inks onto a 6" square card. Splattered with water to create water splashes.

Stamped with swirls by Sheena Douglass, first with Black Versafine and clear 

embossing powder, then with Versafine and Gold embossing powder.

I used stamps from a Dare 2B Artsy Autumn leaves set, including the sentiment. 

The stamped butterfly is from a very old but useful set of butterflies by

Debbie Moore. Lastly I added white dots to highlight some of the darker areas,

April Showers and Birthday Prize

April Showers

Well,  at home yesterday we certainly had showers, of every description.

We had rain, hailstones and snow - all in one day, on and off, and it was so cold.

I am hoping all of my readers are in fairer and warmer weather today,

My card was  blended with a few of TH blue toned D. Inks.

Stick Girls from Debbie Moore an old favourite of mine.

Two weeks ago was the 5th Birthday of Ruby's Rainbow,

Along with the blog and several of the Design Team we individually had

a prize to draw. Sadly whilst I had several comments on my blog, as was required,

I had great fun making this card, something different.

Christmas Stocking

Hello again, the challenge this week at Cardz 4 Guyz has been chosen by Julie, everyone loves to have a Christmas Stocking full of little goodies and  secret surpirses. We would like to see any style, design or cration of a Christmas Stocking. The design team have created some amazing inspirational cards for you so please do pop over to check them out. I decided to make a CAS card. I bought the scalloped round dark blue cards recently so felt I needed to try them out. I used my new round dies to create the holographic silver mat and the same blue card for the image. The stocking is from Debbie Moore, yes, it's a number of years old but I do love these stamps. The greeting is from the same set. I used Stampendous eaxtra fine detailed white Embossing powder to emboss the stocking and the sentiment. I'm looking forward to visiting you to see your Christmas Stockings for a MALE. 

April Showers at MTTC

At My Time to Craft this week, it seems so apt, for after having a beautiful sunny Easter in the UK,  here we are nearing the end of April with April Showers, we are looking for Umbrellas  in this challenge, so have fun everyone. I decided to go grungy with this card. For the background I used a piece of blue paper and stamped raindrops all over it in Chipped Sapphire Distress ink. For the main image I used the sentiment stamp, again using the raindrops stamp. I tore and distressed the edges, rubbed them with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, I then stamped the little girl with her Umbrella and coloured her with Promarkers. I made the bow using my gorgeous Envelope Punch Board.

I added glossy Accents to many of the raindrops, which you may see if you click on the picture. 

I am hoping the rain quickly dies away, it would be nice to see some more sun.

Up, up and away is our theme for you this week at My Time To Craft, which gives you lots of options, please pop over to the main blog whee you will see the wonderful inspiration from the design team. I thought, of birds, planes, Hot air balloons,  the latter reminded me in a set of stamps from Debbie Moore I had one of a little girl with balloons, who had never been inked, bless her. This is the card I made with her.

April Showers

Hello everyone,  this is my first card on the Design Team for Ruby's Rainbow, it is a fortnightly challenge blog ,on a Wednesday,  which I am now delighted to be part of the amazing team. Thanks Shaz (boss) and all the team, for a super welcome.  My card then fills two purposes, one is saying Hello to all visitors and the DT. The other is to fulfill the challenge, which this month is  April Showers ( Hope we don't get too many of)

Fat Page with Gems

This week at Fat-Tastic Tuesday we are setting you the challenge of creating a 4 x 4 inches project for Anything Goes with Gems.  I chose an art Deco lady from Debbie Moore stamps, combining art Deco corner stamps, a little Zentangle around the circle and of course some glitter and red gems. I look forward to see how you add your gems to your designs over the next week. I have made a Fat Page for my Book, but you can make any 4 inch square project you wish. An important requirement is to please have fun.

#54 Addicted to CAS

Here we again at ATSM for our # 54 challenge which is Addicted to CAS - please be sure to check out our rules and guidelines on our blog, so many folk have totally differing ideas on what CAS is, so the best thing to do is actually check our rules for our challenges. For my CAS card this time round, I decided on  stamp I haven't used in a long while, it belongs to a Debbie Moore Butterflies and Dragonflies set, I do like the impressions that rubber stamps give. Even the tiny additional butterfly is from the same set. I coloured he background with old paper then used a few pale blue Promarkers to colour, used a Quickie Glue pen and added some crystal  Glamour Dust glitter to a little shine. I die cut a patterned round shape or a mat. the lovely sentiment is from HobbyArt Ltd. I do love visiting you and look forward to seeing your CAS projects.

F is for Fantasy at Alphabet Challenge

Hi to all my visitors, this week at Alphabet Challenge Pat has chosen for the letter F - Fantasy. Now this of course can fit into many forms of fantasy, but please be careful where you allow your fantasies to roam. The above fantasy came about because I had bought a collection of fabulous girl stamps from Debbie Moore, they have been designed I believe by Kerry Jo. I love this female pirate, I coloured her with Promarkers. The background pirate paper was purchased especially for a LO Scrapbook page for a grandson's pirate birthday party, this is a small piece left over, I always keep my scraps and do try to use them. (Don't we all say that)? I embossed the background, it looks like snake skin, it has been rubbed with Vintage Photo DI. I'm really looking forward to visiting you to see your Fantasy cards. 

Mainly for Men at CD Challenges

This week at CD Sunday Challenges it is the turn for Wendy P's choice of theme and she has chosen Mainly For men. A card for a man or about men. I choose an image from Marie G Designs International CD - Just 4 Men,  which I purchased a few years ago on E Bay. I coloured the main card with Vintage Photo DI,  and stamped with a Travel set of stamps from Debbie Moore. I look forward to visiting your blogs once again, for you ladies always have some stunning and imaginative cards to view.

When I look at challenges I usually think, Yes, I'll enter that one, then life and other craft commitments take up my time and I many a time miss entering. Today when looking at the Challenge Blogs I found one I  immediately wanted to do, set to and this is the result.

The stamped image also fits nicely into another challenge but needed to be adjusted to make a card using only one stamp at Scrapbook Sisters card week - One Stamp. I added the image onto a sheet of background paper which I made in one of my messy inky sessions with Starburst Stains from The Stampman.

The wettest summer ever?

Aren't the months going by quickly? It is time again for our monthly swap of Fat Pages at Do Crafts. the theme for June has been Water, how appropriate! I received some fabulous ideas of water, many were so different. the amount of rain we have recently had in the North of England has been unbelievable, which is why I decided to make my Fat Page with rain in mind. I choose a spotty background card. I then stamped my middle lady with the brolly, masked her and stamped the remaining two ladies. Coloured them with Romarkers and where I could I added Glossy Accents to provide raindrops, I think you'll see them if you click on the picture and enlarge. the background is water coloured Distress Inks.

Name That Song

Thanks again to Feline Playful i found another interesting challenge blog site, called CAS-ual Fridays Challenges. Even though I love to be messy, grungy and fill my pages, I also have great fun in keeping the cards simple and clean. The current challenge is Name That Song, I was inspired by the Walt Disney film Pirates of the Caribbean

the song "Yo Ho - A Pirate's Life for Me". 

The main image is from a set of quirky stamps from Debbie Moore. The waves and galleon are from a pirate set by Tandastamps. I masked the card to create the sea by brushing on TH Distress ink Broken China, then stamped with Chipped Sapphire the waves. The galleon is a second stamping for I wanted it to be in the background and bot too strong. Thanks girls, I enjoyed this challenge, something really different.

I am also entering this card into the Uninked challenge at Use It Up Tuesdays, as this is the first time I have used this stamp.

A Windy Rainy Day

It's great when you have just bought a stamp and found a challenge that suits. Over at the Cheerful Stamp Pad
they are asking for a project with  a theme of , 'A Windy Rainy Day', not sure about the windy day but here is a Rainy Day. I used Kanban card, white card stock, TH Distress Ink Frayed Burlap, Debbie Moore Stamp from a set, another recent bargain purchase. Tan and Burnt Orange Promarkers. Why don't you have a go? We are all about Spring and flowers at present, but don't forget we need the rain to make it all look so fresh and beautiful. See you over on the Cheeful Stamp Pad. Diamonds and Flourishes

This week we come to the end of Suzanne's month of Romance with Diamonds and Flourishes for as we all know Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend. So, we want to see a bit of bling with a  few flourishes. Thanks for such an interesting month Suzanne. MAKE MY MONDAY.   For my card, I used a piece of backing paper, to fit in my black and white theme. Added to the top edge a punched piece of card, from using a Martha Steward border punch. The large flower was made from cutting out several flowers from a piece of backing paper and mounting them up, adding a brad with a clear gem on top. The circles with the ladies are stamps from Debbie Moore, I  have had them a long time but I do find the ladies very attractive and useful for many different cards. I have glittered the flourishes on their hats, their jewellery, all over really. Diamonds (gems) added to each circle. I, again look forward to visiting your blogs to see your Diamonds and Flourishes.

ATC - Dress or Dresses

When I was commenting on someone's blog I spotted a mention of Wicked Wednesday Challenges- ATC. Before the end of the month I owe a forum member on Do Crafts an ATC for the word Divas. The topic for this week at WW  is Dress or Dresses, it gave me the kick I need to get my ATC made. Will be posting it off tomorrow. I covered my ATC with a piece of paper with dressmaking patterns, coloured it with Frayed Burlap. Stamped 3 ladies from a collection of 12 from Debbie Moore, perfect ATC size. I left them black and white to contrast with the Sepia look and attached the necessary word Divas for our swap. I'll be popping back ladies, trying to support new ventures.
