Use A Kite


Hello, sending good wishes and hoping you are all safe
staying indoors, unless going out is essential. I'm fine,
though missing my family, just as we all are.  Thank goodness
for visual calls on the telephone, the kids keep asking to see us, 
they too need reasurance all is well. 
Today we are happy to introduce a new challenge at
Cardz 4 Galz. Misti chose the theme for
#119 Use A Kite in your Design.

Red, Pink White

Hello, I hope you are well, thanks for popping by.
Today we begin a new challenge at 
Amy has chosen for the next two weeks
Red, Pink, White
This nicely coincides with Valentine's Day, however
you can colour or use papers for any reason or style.
The choice is yours. Why don't you pop over to the

I am not usually a CAS kinda crafter, but I can manage it
occasionally. Here is one of my rare attempts.
A 5 x 7 scallop edge card. Red background mat.
Hearts die cut with various pieces of red and pink paper.

An Ormament

Hello, here we are again the first of the month for our next challenge
 Mary has chosen for us 
An Ormanet, it can be either a real one you have decorated or
an ornament on a card.
The Design Team have some gorgeous inspiration for you.
I made a 5 x 7 cream card, I have used gold mirri card
to mat the backgound and topper.
The stamp is an all time favourite of mine, 
I know I have so many favourites!
A Papermania stamp heat embossed with gold E.P. 
The greeting stamp is an old rubber one, maker unknown.

Up, Up and Away


Hello everyone, welcome to my blog and a happy new year to you.
Today is the start of a new weekly challenge at Cardz  Guyz.

I matted my design onto a piece of card, matted onto a white

Cars



Hi everyone, thanks for your visit. The challenge which 
starts today at Cardz 4 Guyz was chosen by Jane and it is
CARS
Any type of car will do, a classic, or vintage, sporty, futuristic,
racing or pedal car. As long as it is a car.

I saw a different shaped card on Pinterest, the measurements were 
from the US, which is smaller than a similar card in the UK, so I have 
made it to measure the standard C6 - 6" x 4" when closed.
Papers used are from LOTV Father Knows Best paper pad.
Greeting label from my stash. 
Stamped embellishments from Papermania.
The car is from Tandastamps (sorry they are no longer trading).
I embossed the car with black EP.  Coloured some engine and tyre areas 
with a grey pencil . I paper pieced the car's body. 
It took longer to make the template than the actual card. (smile)

Graduation


Hi everyone, thanks for your visit.  Today at Make My Monday
our new challenge for the next seven days will be 
'Graduation'
Please pop over to see the creations from the Design Team.
I have made a fairly simple and straightforward card, which
I feel would be suitable for either gender,
Black card,  soft gold shimmery card, embossed with a 
vines Embossing Folder.  I found a template on Pinterest for 
the mortarboard, rolled some paper, wrapped in red ribbon
for a certificate.  The sentiment - Congratulations -
is a Papermania stamp.

Challenge #80 Animal Magic




Hi, thanks for your visit, today starts the monthly challenge at
Sparkles Monthly Challenges, please pop over to see the details

We also have a DT Call for the next month, so please if your interested

Helen N has chosen for us Animal Magic. 
I made a 5" square card.  Background card, frills and background for
the image are pale blue card from my stash, left overs from another project.
A piece of blue gingham, another piece form the spare leftover box.
The image is a Dinkie stamp by Little Claire.  Coloured with Promarkers.
Spellbinders Oval Die and Marianne patterned oval die used
to create the stamped centre image.
The insert was stamped with another elephant Dinkie stamp, the greeting
is a Papermania stamp.

Easter Parade


Hello again,  here we are, already Easter is around the corner. 
For the next two weeks at Fanatasy Stampers  our challenge is

Easter Parade
The choice of design is left to you but please use a STAMP, not a digi.
For my card, I have made a 6" x 4" card. I used  yellow  card to mat
the stamped design. You know how you have stamps which are so old, yet never 
go out of style or trend. Well this little stamp is one of my all time wooden
favourites, by Papermania  - Easter Bunny. 
I masked the centre bunny to stamp the two outer bunnies.
Coloured all with Promarkers.

Love ( Use the Word)


Hello again, thanks for your visit. I do appreciate you taking the time.
At Make My Monday for the next two weeks, our challenge is
LOVE - but the twist is we want to clearly see the word LOVE

For my card, I have used neutral colours, it all started the a new
paper pad  I love the Dovecraft - Papermania Capsule collections, 
this one being Midnight Blush. 
The main image stamp is from LOTV -  Love Balloon.
I used Promarkers to add colour. 
The Love sentiment is from Papermania - Sweet Nothings set.
Flowers and leaves - stamps by Sheena Douglas - Flower Power - 
stamped onto the lighter papers in the pack. 
3 red gems - black card for matting.

Challenge #106 - Valentine/Love


Hi everyone, welcome to my blog. 
Today my card is for the DT at Cardz 4 Guyz.
The challenge chosen, not surprisingly is
Valentine or Love

For My Card
I decided to go simple and elegant.
A C6  white card, matted with silver mirri.
A white card embossed with a Darice - Lips embossing folder.
Hearts covered with the word Love are by MSE (My Sentiments Exactly)
a US stamp company. One heart heat embossed with Wow! Black EP, 
the second with Wow!  Platinum EP.
Sentiment - Love from Paprmania Sweet Nothings set. 
White ribbon to enhance.

Make it Shine or Sparkle


Hi everyone, for the next week over at Cardz 4 Guyz
I chose the challenge, which is
Make it Shine or Sparkle. (or Both)
Time to get out the mica powders, glittery embossing powders,
 gilding flakes, waxes, mirri card etc. etc.

again, they are all amazing. 
For my Card.
I used a white scallop edge card.
Matted with a sheet of black card, covered in pink shiny mirri
hearts, taken from a DCWV pad Rockstar.
Shiny pink ribbon, yes I know guyz who like pink. 
The stamps are from Papermania set - Love
Embossed with Platinum Wow Embossing powder.

I decided to make a CAS Valentine card.
The hearts  and greeting are from a Papermania stamp set
Sweet Nothings.
I hae added some red ribbon, pink and white twine
and a number of mini crystal gems.

Hi, the first challenge for 20 16 from Ruby's Rainbow Challenges is

A chance to show us anything new, mybe brought my Santa or friends, 
or it could be a new technique, all we need is for you tell us what is new.
I hope you like this challenge because I am the DT memebr  who chose it.

For my Card.
A 6" square white scallop edge card.
Sheet of white card, blended with Broken China and edged with 
Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks. 
Stamped with NEW Papermania  Urban Christmas greetings using 
Chipped Sapphire. I also stamped a few snowflakes from stash.
The topper was stamped with NEW Hobbyart Farmbouse Scenic set.
Coloured with Distress Inks as watercolours. 
Lots of glitter added for the snow areas.

No Man Like a Snowman

Another month has passed us by and here we are in September. For the remainder of this month at Sparkles Forum Christmas Challenges our challenge is 'No Man Like A Snowman' . I'm sure you will all hve fun with this one. I love snowmen, yes, real ones and of course those we can find on our Christmas cards. For my Design Team card my backing papers in traditional colours are from a Papermania paper pad. I used both red and white card to mat them. The main image is a Tulip design also from Papermania. The lovely tags are Christmas Tags from LOTV. Snowflakes from punches and a sprinkle here and there of crystal glitter. Have fun and happy crafting.

ABC Christmas Challenges are asking for B - Bare Essentials,  simply to withhold the usual amount of embellishments and to keep the card as bare as possible. It did feel strange not adding anymore to this card.

Fashion

At Winter Wonderland they are taking a break from Christmas and the winter season for a few weeks, starting with a challenge of Fashion. I love all cards to do with all styles of Fashion. My card above has been made with an image and backing paper from Frou Frou  CD from Crafter's Companion. I added a piece of turquoise velvet ribbon and a diamante ribbon slider. The sentiment is a stamp from Papermania. Thanks ladies,  once again I have promised myself to make  card for your challenges throughout the year, must ensure my Christmas cards are made often and regularly, but hey ho, I have said this the past two years.

Add Some Sparkle

This week at Fan-Tastic Tuesday we are being challenged to ~Add Some Sparkle, a nice choice for a few weeks left to Christmas, here is another of my Christmas cards with Tulip and friends from Papermania/Do Crafts. I added lots of crystal Glamour Dust to the cake and holly, I am hoping you will see it if you enlarge the image. have fun everyone, remember our one and only main rule is ' It must be square - for it is Hip to be Square'.
