Something Beginning with D

It's Team B, this week at CD Sunday Crafting and it has been my turn to choose the theme, which is
Something Beginning with D - there are so many things this could be, I want to see a wide variety of choice. Have a bit of fun and search your CD's ladies (and any gents) for something amazing or even ordinary. I had a look through the Word Play CD from Sarah Hallam of Peerless Designs and I found DANCE, I think it's amazing how she has included all the words within the dancers and the surrounding area. The flowers are from the CD 'Here Come the Girls' from Creative Crafting World.  A perfect card for a young female dance, I don't know one. Ha Ha, but I'll add this card to my Salvation Army box.  Looking forward to seeing you ladies all through the week. Take care.

Butterflies at CD Sunday Challenges

This week at CD Sunday Challenges Wendy has chosen Butterflies for our challenge. Most people love butterflies, well except for my husband, nice to look at but from a distance. We once went to a butterfly farm, a new experience for us both, as soon as we walked into the area, the butterflies were flying around so freely, beautiful specimens and my hubby was off like a rocket exiting through the entrance. I had to go all the way through on my own to get to the other end to find out what was wrong, he had discovered he has a phobia of wings fluttering around his head. Sorry, I digress, back to business. Butterflies are popular with crafter's so we should be having a busy week ahead, lots of CDs out there with butterflies. I decided to use my new Tangletastic CD of Zentangles from Sarah Hallum of Peerless Designs. If you click on the picture to see it enlarged you will see more closely the wonderful doodle art she has created on the butterflies. I made an easel card, with a slight difference. I adhered the butterfly onto a piece of black card but cut around the upper part of the butterfly to give the appearance of it being in mid air. The other two butterflies are from the background paper, adhered onto card. The greeting was embossed with white extra fine embossing powder, the greeting  stamp is from Hobby Art. Have fun with your challenge this week everyone.

Thank You - CD Sunday Challenges

This week at CD Sunday Challenge Beryl has challenged us to make a THANK YOU card. We all need at some time or another to have maybe one or two put aside for those times when you just want to thank someone for that little expression of kindness. I made this card specifically for a friend who really adores pansies. the image is from a Peerless Designs - Yesteryear Floral Vase Collection. The remainder consist of card from my stash, the yellow ribbon and a foam stamp saying Thank You. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the trellis pattern on the side of the card. An easy card to make, but we do sometimes need that quick card. I'm sure you will enjoy making this week's card and I look forward to visiting you all again. Before I leave I would like to Welcome Sue T to our Design Team, I have long admired her creations and am thrilled to be on the same team, working along side her.

Spring is in the Air

This week at CD Sunday Challenges we are probably being more hopeful than the weather forecasters would agree - for Spring is in the Air is our challenge for you. not much sign of it here in the North East of England but hopes are high. I apologise for the quality of my scan, the light has been really bad today from very early in the day, so I wasn't able to take a photo.  I will replace hopefully tomorrow. I printed a beautiful background sheet of snowdrops from Peerless Designs Yesteryears Floral Vase Collection CD.
From the same background paper I punched the edge lattice panel with a Martha Stewart punch, I also stamped and cut out the butterflies. the centre stamped image of snowdrops is from a Chocolate Baroque stamp, which I coloured with two shades of green Promarkers. I look forward to visiting you once again, thanks to any visitors I may have during this challenge. Fingers crossed for Spring to show itself.

It's Showtime!

It's Showtime this week at CD Sunday Challenge, which is my choice, so for the lucky winner, I have a small prize ready to be posted. Good luck to all who enter. Of course it doesn't have to be Las Vegas style, but I've gone for this, only because I have the beautiful showgirl stamp from Rubbadubbadoo, I love to use her when I get a chance. The background papers are from the Poppy set on Peerless Designs CD - Floral Jewels, which sponsored us and provided a prize a few weeks ago. I coloured the images with Promarkers to match the papers. Added a strip of stars peel off around the top and card candy down the sides. The template for this card is from the Robert Adams CD Fabulous Folds.
