CAS @ Fantasy Stampers

For the next two weeks at Fantasy Stampers we would like to see Clean and Simple. Please pop over to the blog to check out the work from the DT and the rules for the CAS challenge.  I have used a A6 card, I matted the main image, and added the strip from a piece of pretty blue paper from my stash. The main image is stamped from a Dimension Fourth Ltd stamp, yes it's an old one but I love this stamp, it is so versatile. I coloured it with Promarkers. Have fun with your CAS everyone.

Alphabet Challenge D - Daffodils

This week at Alphabet Challenges it was my turn to choose the topic for the Letter D - we are looking forward to our Easter weekend, I did think Daffodils was appropriate, though here in the UK it is so cold, the daffodils are only just showing part of their leaves through the cold earth. Mother Nature has taken a longer winter break than we ever could have imagined. The up side is we can still look forward to those hosts of Golden Daffodils. For my card, I choose a DL card, tall thin and elegant for a beautiful spray of spring flowers, another bargain clear stamp, which I purchased from Dimension at a craft event last year, it is a favourite stamp of mine. Stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento and coloured with Promarkers. Once again I look forward to visiting your blog, for this next week I will at least be seeing a host of golden daffodils  in blogland. Have fun everyone.

We're Back from our break at Make My Monday

Yes, we have returned at Make My Monday, not a wonderful August but we've had a rest and are raring to go. Val has chosen to kick us off in September with a month of Vintage. We are starting with
VINTAGE FASHION
I think this will be a popular month, so come on ladies get out your stash and have a play. We have a new Guest Designer for the month, a welcome to Alison, I look forward to seeing her contributions during the month. Please pop over to the main blog to check out what the DT have created for the topic.  Here is mine.

The background page is from a lovely vintage pad from Craftyworks. The larger image is a newly purchased stamp from a bargain box from Dimension Stamps. The two smaller images are from personal Impressions wooden stamps I've had for years. I die cut all three with some new oval dies. The flowers were stamped from one of my favourite freebie stamps from the Craft Stamper magazine, with an added bow and of course hat pins had to be included to fit the style and fashion of the time. Hats in older days were a must, no outfit was complete without an appropriate hat. I am of an age where I remember all of my female elders wore a hat for every occasion.
I am entering this card into the following:-
Dream Valley Challenges  Something Old, Something New.

Spring Is In The Air - FSC

It is Spring is in the Air time over at the Fashionable Stamping Challenges for two weeks. Please pop over to see the amazing talented work of the DT. We do have a regular sponsor, who provides us with a prize each challenge for the winner, we also have a Top 3 chosen by the DT. I decided to make my card a little distressed looking, a little worn and ready for a new season - Spring. I coloured my main card with Worn Lipstick Distress ink. Stamped all over with a leaf background stamp, using Peeled Paint D.I. A torn and crumpled sheet of copy paper, coloured with Old Paper and Antique Linen DI. Various stamps used, the main one from Dimensions. From my prepared stash of papers with Moonglow painted onto them, to give some bling, placed behind a piece of mesh, which has been tied with twine. a few flowers and leaves added. I also add a few feathers, from my stash. If you want feathers like these the best place to get them at a fairly cheap price is to go to a fishing tackle shop. I had a great time looking at your Bingo cards, and am of course looking forward to checking out your Spring cards. Most of all have fun.

Make My Monday - Spring

A new month - a new theme at Make My Monday. March 1st. brings in the spring. For the next four weeks we have a Spring orientated project to look forward to. This, the first week we are looking forward to visiting your blogs where you have made a project/card with Spring Flowers- snowdrops, daffodils, crocus, bluebells or any other spring flower. Please may I remind you to switch off Word Verification, if your not sure how to, check up last week's entry on MMM in the Older Posts, we do appreciate it for it makes it so much easier when visiting so many blogs. For my card, I used an embossing folder which is actually called Christmas Vines , which looks just as good for spring with the leaves. I lightly brushed over with TH Peeled Paint. The floral bouquet is from Dimension Stamps and the butterfly is another of my favourite stamps Stamp It ~from Australia. I used Promarkers to colour the flowers and butterflies. Again I look forward to visiting you all.
