New York New York

Hello, thanks for visiting me.
I have been experiencing problems with the service
provided by British Telecom, which left me
without Broadband, talk about stress, thank goodness
my husband and son were here to help calm me and
basically send me to another room in the house,
whilst they dealt with BT.
I managed to get a small reprieve to let me get the
blog posted but I was unable to add to my own blog.
I am so happy that now all seems repaired and I am
happy and free again to cause havoc once again
in Blogland. So here is my catch up post.
On Monday - Make My Monday's new challenge
New York - New York - began.
Please pop over to check the details and see the
amazing talented variety for the challenge.
I made a Scrapbook page.
My son, wife and two teenage sons visited
New York during April this year, so I have started
to create a few pages of their USA visit.
Hope you feel inspired.

G is for Great Outdoors

Hello again, hope you are well and happily crafting.
Today we begin a new challenge at Alphabet Challenges.
Lesley has chosen for the letter G - Great Outadoors
The DT have had fun with this theme, why don't you pop
over to be inspired and challenged.
I made a scrapbook page, the emphasis being on one 6 x 4
photo of two brothers, my grandsons when out for a
country walk. The papers are from my stash which fitted
the scene perfectly for me. The tree was fussy cut,
a technique which I enjoy, I dont use any dies.
A simple block page but full of some fabulous memories.

A is for Anything but a card.

Today at Alphabet Challenges we once again begin the journey through
the alphabet, starting with  the letter A - Silvi has chosen for us
A - Anything but a card
Please pop over to the blog to see the projects the DT have created.
I have created a scrapbook page, I am so trying to catch up with wonderful
photos of my friends and family. Say hello to Lynne and Allison.
A peach background adorned with scraps of designer paper,
torn and scraped around the edges. The photo was matted onto peach card.
Flowers were fussy cut from a scrapbook page with flowers.
Hope you like the page. Have fun with your project.

Anything but a Card

For the next two weeks at Ruby's Rainbow we have for our challenge Anything BUT a Card. I am so pleased that I have recently re-kindled my interest in scrapbooking. First please check out what the Design Team have made to inspire you. I have distressed my paper edges to add more interest. I added to embellish a few nautical stamped images, the ship, the seagulls on posts and in the top right corner an anchor. Have fun everyone, I look forward to visiting you.

Anything BUT a Card

At Cardz 4 Guyz during the next week our challenge is   Challenge # 29 - Anything BUT a Card, this could be a Tag, a Fat Page, a Gift Card, the choice is yours, the list can be stretched as far as your imagination and creation will take you. My second passion to card making is scrapbook pages and small memory books. The above are a double LO (Lay Out) I recently finished. All the elements are made with papers, stamps, alphabet stickers and of courese the most important photographs of two of my grandsons. The printed journalling tells the story of the pages, click to enlarge to read of our little adventure.
I am entering the first LO to Lasting Memories Challenge - Anything Goes

Wheely Fun

I hope you have all had a lovely Easter and are ready to get back to crafting. We have a super challenge for you over at Cardz 4 Guyz, we would like to see your paper craft creation showing anything with wheels. The eight Design Team members have covered five different wheeled methods of transport, I know there are more, plus whilst we all went for wheeled transport there are other types of wheels around, so you can see how open this challenge for male orientated, young or older guyz is. Greatly looking forward to those who accept the challenge. For my card this week, I created a stepper card.  I used papers and designer sheets from a Debbie Moore Shabby Chic Travel CD. Reminds me so much of my youth, I suppose I was a bike chick but didn't know it then. To remind the visitors to the challenge blog, that we do accept anything in paper craft, ATC's, Fat Pages,Tags,  Scrap Book Pages, boxes,  I also added a scrap book page I made a number of years ago, with members of my family at a Vintage Rally. Please note the two young boys are now 18 and 19 year old.
