Rose Garden @ Fantasy Stampers

This week at Fantasy Stampers , Jan is wanting to see your projects with the theme of Rose Garden.
Please pop over to the challenge blog to see the wonderful samples from the Design Team, for I am sure you will feel inspired to create a project for the challenge. I decided instead of having pink roses which I always seem to go for, I chose peach for a change, along with toning peach colours for the background paper.

Use Acetate

At Charizma Cardz Challenges this week the challenge is to Use Acetate. My card has an acetate panel. the background is a light lilac colour with a piece of the reverse side which I punched for added interest. The greeting is from a Hobby Art set with some beautiful greetings. The acetate panel was made a few weeks ago, but not featured on my blog, I have assembled the full project this afternoon, for a birthday surprise for someone who loves purple. To achieve the looks of the panel I used a technique where you use  floor polish. For more details go to You Tube, type in Sheena Douglass tutorials and you will find it. My stamp is an old one, had for ages I believe from Elusive Images ( Chocolate Baroque).

B is for Bottles

At Alphabet Challenges , Avril has chosen for the letter B - Bottles.  For my project I decided to use stamps from Crafty Individuals. There is the Floradora Perfume advert and two sets of bottles of perfume from CI 335 and 341. I used TH Distress inks to add the colours. The corner stamp from Sheena Douglass was heat embossed with Stampendous white detail powder . Please pop over to the main blog where my fellow team mates have had great fun, obviously against character there are a number of bottles which hold alcohol. LOL I wonder how many varieties of bottles we will see over the next two weeks? have fun everyone.

Winter Wonderland

2nd Post today
Over at Winter Wonderland their theme for this week is Oh! Christmas Tree. I stamped the tree from a Creative Expressions Christmas set created by Sheena Douglass, onto the front of the C6 card, coloured it with Promarkers, added Quickie glue pen and sprinkled it with Crystal Glamour Dust. I embossed the front sheet of card, and used an oval die cut to form the aperture. Added the greeting tied it with white ribbon.

Inkyspirational DT Call - Card 2

Mynette is looking for a DT for her new upcoming Inkyspirational Challenge Blog, please check here for more information. this is my second of four cards for the DT call. A colour combination, not, if I may say Mynette, the easiest in the world, but it certainly made me think. LOL.
This is the required colour palette....................
This is my interpretation of the colours, maybe not a perfect mix, I think my colours may have got diluted crossing the big pond. LOL

The main design of the card was matted onto the dark brown. I brushed around all edges with Broken China DI (sky blue) I used all 3 colours to stamp the flowers and leaves, using some of my well loved Tapestry stamps. The fairies are from a Sheena stamp set, 'Hidden Fairies with Ivy'. I used a punch for the decorative border on the brown paper. Added a decoupaged blue bow from Chloe stamps. Adding some stamping onto the flap of the envelope adds even more interest before the card is even opened. Many thanks to my those who have recently added to my followers,I do hope you enjoy your visits and find something which either helps, guides or maybe just gives you pleasure.
