Hello, welcome to my blog. Today at The Male Room our new challenge is #212 Hobbies. To see the inspirational creations from the design team, please visit the blog.

The older my eldest son becomes, it seems each decade brings along a new hobby. His birthday is coming up soon, and this challenge inspired me to create a card showing his newest hobby which is attending events and exhibitions, anything to do with Classic cars and motor bikes,I got the template for the card , from a Hunkydory programme on You Tube. I used one sheet of metallic Adorable Scorable red/brown card. All the pictures are cuts from various Hunkydory  Little Books. The sentiment is from a Hunkydory Judst My Type paper pad.

Use A Colouring Medium

Hello, today we begin with the new challenge at MAWTT- Moving along With the Times. Pamela has chosen - Use a Colouring Medium. I decided, for a change for me, to go full out with Water-Colouring using pens from my Zig pen collection
I began with a 6" white card, To apply the background main water area, I used the technique with a number, of different Zig pens, I added, yellow, orange, red to an acrylic block, then sprayed with water , mixing up the colours. Then I turned it upside down and stamped the mixed watercolours onto a piece of card to fit on the main card at a later time.Using a small background stamp I stamped this, coloured with a Zig pen, all over the card, to enclarge the background,. I then stamped the Sunflower Grunge stamp from Visable Image, onto the piece of card with the background coloured. I then stamped the sunflower head only onto another piece of card, I coloured this several times with yellow, orange and a touch of brown. I then fussy cut the flower head and with 3d foam pads added it to the flower stamped on the main card. I then coloured the stem and leaves. The completed card was added to red card added to the card base.
I finally added the sentiments, all from the same stamps set from Visable Image. -Sunflower Grunge.

Blending 2 -3 colours

Hello and welcome. Today at Make My Monday, Billie A has chosen #291 Blend 2 - 3 colours. To see other member's of the DT inspiratioinal blending, please visit the blog.

I began with a white 6" card for the base. I cut a piece of card, knowing I could add the stamp when the colouring was completed. I used Distress Inks Peacock Feathers, Twisted Citron, Fozssilized Amber and Spiced Marmalade. I sprayed with water and patted dry with a paper towel. After fully drying with a heat tool, I stamped a stamp from my stash, another 'golden oldie'., using Versafine Onyx Black. Then the piece was cut to size and adhered to a piece of black card. A small sentiment stamp added. Finally a few Enamal Gloss gems were added to the card.

Hello and welcome. Today at Alphabet Challenges we looking at the letter E. Helen has chosen                 E is for Embossing, Wet or Dry. To see the inspirational creations from the design team, please visit the blog.

I began with a 6" white card for the base. I used an embossing folder on a piece of blended card coloured with blue inks and a blended card with orange inks. The blue was cut in half to create two edges. The gap was covered with a darker blue card. Both of the embossed coloured pieces were sand papered to show the base white colour. I used Sheena Douglass shell stamps, coloured with Distress Inks, added a piece of hessian. Finally I added pearl gems and varied colours of the ocean sequins. The design and instructions I gleamed from a Simply Cards and Papercraft magazine #245, which also gifted the Embossing folder.
