Oh! Pretty Baby

Recently I was asked by Hunkydory to review their
newly designed magazine Carfting with Hunkdory Issue 45
I was also able to choose a few other products of my own choice.
I was overwhelemed and honoured for this opportunity. It
isn't my normal genre of card making but I have greatly
enjoyed making the cards. The magazine and two  little square books
are so beautiful, full of products and ideas, and of fantastic value
Today I am featuring one of the cards I made from the Little book
called Bundles of Joy.  but first details of today's challenge.
We have a new challenge starting at Cardz 4 Galz -
Oh! Pretty Baby
Please pop over to the blog to see the super ideas by the DT.
My card, was created from two pages from the block of papers
by Hunkdory, My Little Book - Bundles of Joy.
Mirri card, die cut with mirri card.
I fussy cut the heart and flower corner from a sencond sheet.
Have fun, enjoy your crafting.

Get Krafty

Here we are once again, another challenge for My Time To Craft (MTTC). The weather over the last few days has been miserable, wet and cold, a good reason to stay at home, but it does mean my challenge cards don't get the right amount of natural light to show the true colours.  The challenge this week is to Get Krafty. Kraft card is now very popular, I have already commented on an earlier challenge how much I love the Kraft card and am using it  more and more. Check out  the Design Team's projects for some fabulous inspiration, which shows just how versatile Kraft card is. I have used my bought scalloped Kraft card, matted it with blue, then white card. Pale blue gingham paper from my stash, Kraft card, white card to matt on my main stamped image. The gorgeous stamp is  from Woodware Stamps. I have coloured it with pencils, for a softer finish. Added 3 blue threaded buttons to embellish. This stamp could be used of course as easily for a girl with different colouring.

Welcome Baby Boy

At Cardz 4 Guyz this week we would like to see you Welcome Baby Boy with a project, it can be a card or any other item which says Welcome to the new baby.  This style of card , a pop up box card have been hugely popular this summer, they are so easy to make, once you have the template. I found mine on You Tube here.  For the flowers and embellishments I used plain blue cardstock and the last of the patterned papers from a favourite set I purchased a while ago, it's sad when it comes to an end. How sad am I? He he. I used a stamp and die from Go-Kreate for the Baby Boy. The hearts and Baby are from the Woodware envelope samp set.  I made an envelope from scrapbook paper using my  WRMK /Stampin Up Envelope Maker. Please do pop over to the blog to see the wonderful inspirational samples from the DT.
I am also entering this project into
Oldie but a Goodie for their challenge  - Baby

Favourite Combo

opened
Pale blue, kraft colour, mint green.

Our fabulous sponsor this month is

 With a  $10 voucher -- Good Luck

Another month gone by and here we are it being the 15th April it is time for Sparkles Monthly. The challenge has been chosen by Helen N, which is Your Favourite Colour Combo.  This caused me a small dilemma
because I love colour, I love mixing all colour palettes. My indecision was quickly solved, I still had a pack of papers on my desk, from making a previous card and realised just how much I liked the colour combo.
The design papers are from Sweet Pea, which I was so lucky to find at a Craft event at a greatly reduced price. This is the first time I have used a swing card, adding the papers. I think I made it more difficult than it need be, I'm sure I'll get the hang of it and be quicker next time.
Materials used.
White swing card from Craftwork Cards.
Elephant, baby and hearts stamps by Woodware .
Designer papers from Sweet Pea for the card,  I also paper pieced the elephant.
Blue buttons from stash.
I hope to see you over on the Sparkles Monthly blog, you have until 14th May to decide on your favourite combo and enter. Have fun and I wish well being to all.

#61 Baby Boy

At Here Come The Boys challenge blog, this week the challenge is Baby Boy.  I have been longing to use this sweet stamp from Pink Gem Designs. I used papers from Sweet Pea - Peas in a Pod, simply gorgeous papers. The sentiment stamp is from a set of circular stamps - source not sure. I coloured the main image with Promarkers, adding some white glitter to the stars. I know there are some followers who are concerned I have gone all soft and marshmallowy - don't worry ladies, the wicked, dark and grungy side of me still exists. LOL

Bundle of Joy

CD Sunday Challenges are this week challenging you to create a project by using a crafting CD for a Bundle of Joy. I am pleased to say, The Best of La Pashe 2012 hasn't let me down yet. Of all of the CDs I have this is my only one which could provide for this week's challenge. I decided, as I was making a card, why not two,  a blue one and a pink one, then if I put them somewhere safe (LOL) I will be prepared. I made a blue and pink card with toning background papers, layered twice with a silver mirri card. I added glitter to the crib, bows and curtains and for that extra embellishment a few paper flowers. The blue Congratulations is with the printout, the Congratulations on the pink card is from a stamp which was free with a magazine. I look forward to visiting you to see what you have found from a CD and how your have achieved the challenge. Have fun ladies and of course any gents who may be taking part.

Baby Card - In the Pink

For their challenge this week at In The Pink, we are required to use punches /dies. This card qualifies for both. This is my last of the baby cards, which were made for my class. I stamped the beautiful baby from LOTV onto card, then used a die to cut it out. It is matted onto silver paper cut from a  Marianne die. The Baby girl sentiment is from a stamp I bought forever ago, cheap as chips, then punched out with a circle punch. I used Promarkers to colour the image, dressed with white ribbon and some pretty flowers.

Baby Boy Card

2nd entry today Friday 23rd.
I have decided to enter a second card into the challenge at LOTV Thursday Challenges.- Anything Goes.  I also made this card for the craft session for today. this is the most adorable stamp. Again this one is suitable for a baby boy, either for a welcome card, a Christening or Naming Day Card, an announcement of birth, whatever you wish. The sentiment is also by LOTV.  Again coloured with a few Promarkers. Background paper from my stash with two strips of white card added to look as though the background is in squares.

Another Baby Card

At LOTV Thursday Challenges this week is Anything Goes. Here is another Baby card which I made for my class.  The stamp is so sweet and easy to colour, I used Promarkers. The sentiment comes with this stamp. The background paper is I think, adorable, sadly I could only find one sheet at the last craft event I attended.  The branch stem is from a Martha Stewart border punch. Hoping everyone in the UK is not too effected by the incessant rain we are once again experiencing.

New Baby

At My Time To Craft this week the challenge is New Baby. I am currently making some New Baby cards for my class on Friday, so thought I would just pop one in for the challenge. I have used a lovely stamp set from Stamps By Chloe, of a Onesie, Bib and Bootees. I stamped them onto a piece of paper from my stash with very small rosebuds on. I improvised the washing posts, using a branch from a bird set of stamps, used a grass stamp at the front and a leaf stamp from a Tapestry Peg stamp set. The Baby Girl, is a stamp I picked up forever ago for pennies and this is the first time I've used it. The main image is matted onto pink glitter card. The two larger roses are also available from Chloe, the three small roses are from E Bay.
