Heat Embossing

Hello again, thanks for your visit and comments, which are greatly appreciated.
Today we begin a new challenge in a NEW challenge blog.
#8 Heat Embossing
Time to get out the embossing powders and your heat tool, make any style
or design of a card with a heat embossed image or embellishment.
Please pop over to see the creations by the Design Team.
I splashed the background with 3 glitter pens from Crafter's Companions.
I used stamps by Leonie Pujol from Crafter's Companions to creater
the background and the two main images.
They were stamped with Versafine Black ink, and embossed with
clear embossing powder, If you have everything ready at hand, this can be done.
I used Promarkers to colour. A Sakura white gel pen for highlights.
Doodled lines around the card to give it an edge.
I would love for you to join us, this is an easy but enjoyable technique.

Country Living

Hi everyone, I have been trying to get a card made for this challenge
for over a week, I knew for days what I wanted to do. At last my task is complete.
Over at CD Sunday Challenges their challenge which will end on Sunday
16th October after two weeks, is  a great choice.
COUNTRY LIVING
For my entry, I made a 7 " scallop edge card.
All the papers and main Thelwell image are from a
Crafter's Companion Inspiration #6 Thelwell  CD
I have added Black card for matting, a rosette from Do Crafts
and a sentiment from another CD - not sure which. I have a box
with spare sentiments from many printed and not needed, which I use
wherever I can.  I chose this topper because it so reminds me of when
as youngster I went to many County fairs with my family.
Thanks again ladies, for a wonderful challenge.

By The Seaside

Hi everyone, today starts a new weekly challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz.
The  challenge chosen by Jan is By The Seaside.
Please check out the wonderful creations by the Design Team.
I had great fun making my card for the DT gallery.
By no means could this be called a quick card, but you know
when you just go along and the ideas keep flowing? It just kept
growing and growning.
I started with an 8" sq card.
I used three blue shades of TH Distress Inks, patted onto an
A4 piece of watercolour paper. Sprayed all over with water. Allowed
it to form the globules of coloured water. Placed the A4 paper
over onto the inks, Dried with my heat tool, repeated the process
several times. This formed my background for both panels.
The larger panel on the right was enhanced adding printed
beach huts, greetings and bunting from Crafter's Companion CD Halcyon Days.
The left panel was enhanced using all stamps from Sweet Desire
Lighthouse, yachts and birds. The lighthouse and yachts were
stamped again, coloured with Promarkers and decoupaged onto the panel.
Both panels edged with Black Soot  DI, matted onto black card.

Thanks ladies,  once again I have promised myself to make  card for your challenges throughout the year, must ensure my Christmas cards are made often and regularly, but hey ho, I have said this the past two years.

Christmas Birds

It's getting so close to Christmas, you've probably sent all of your cards out so hopefully you took some pics before they all went in the post,  for at My Time to Craft this week we are challenging you to make a project with Christmas Birds, basically any birds will do as long as they are Christmas orientated with a Christmas design. I used background paper from a Fizzy Moon paper pad. The stamp - Owls Christmas is from Crafter's Companions Mulberry Woods Designs. The sentiment is from LOTV.  Have fun everyone, looking forward to visiting your blog.

Christmas in July at MMM

This week, at Make My Monday,  Laura has chosen for our theme - Christmas in July- I know I agree too soon for the Christmas word, but we crafter's do like to get ahead, and by making the odd one here and there it's amazing how quickly you'll find your last minute dash won't be as many. I always enjoy the first 25 or so and then it becomes a job not a fun element. Here we go, what did I do? I stamped with a Crafter's Companion stamp of Christmas Owls, coloured them with Promarkers, added a few snowflakes with a  small stamp, added Crystal Glamour Dust, must buy some more soon. Matted onto silver mirri card, layered onto a piece of  12 x 12 paper, added further sprinkles of glamour dust and a lovely sentiment from a Katy Sue stamp set. Have fun everyone, with your Christmas in July challenge.

'In Trouble Again'

I made this card with two challenges in mind. Firstly the monthly challenge at Crafter's Companions  Challenge blog - May's challenge is Masculine, using at least one item from any of their products. This stamp, called 'In Trouble Again' is from the Paintbox Poppets  stamps range.  The Design of the card was created following this sketch
from  Sketch Saturday. I used papers from my scrapbook papers stash along with some Core-dinations card. I used Promarkers to colour the little boy image. He so reminds me of one of my grandson's, who is also regularly in trouble. LOL Two lovely challenges combined on one. Thanks to everyone who created these challenges. I'll be back again.

It's Tea Time at CD Sunday

This week at CD Sunday Challenges we are challenging you to provide us with Tea Time. I decided to jump out of the box and instead of super tables set with beautiful teas, I found Peter from Crafty Companions's The Tales of Peter Rabbit, munching away on carrot's in a garden. I caught Peter at tea time having his mid afternoon meal, he and the surrounding area have been decoupaged. Last week you all excelled with your flowers, so this week should be great fun visiting you at TEA TIME. Have fun, but please remember there must be something on your project from a CD.
