Spring Is In The Air

Hello, here at Fanatasy Stampers, our theme for the next two weeks is Spring Is In The Air. During the past week I agreed , especially when going through a pretty village which had so many clusters of gorgeous crocuses,  until today.  It snowed all morning, it has been a dank miserable day, so I feel my spring may be in the air, and hopefully will burst upon us in the next few weeks. Please pop over to the blog to see the wonderful array of Spring from the Design Team. For my card, I have used for the background LOTV papers. I added faux stitching, to highlight the different papers and layers used. A greeting and butterfly from Kraftyhands CD Butterfly Botanicals. The main image is from LOTV - Bluebells and Primulas, which I coloured with Promarkers.  Have fun everyone, I look forward to Spring being upon us.

Kind and Caring Thoughts

Hello again, for the next two weeks at CD Sunday Challenges we would like to see your projects reflecting on Kind and Caring Thoughts. There are sadly, those times in our lives when Kind and Caring Thoughts can help someone along through a difficult time, sometimes a small card bearing a simple message can make one really big difference. Bearing this in mind for my project, I decided to make a set of cards which I can put into a box to give as a gift of Thinking of You cards.  I made all of the above printing 2 sheets of toppers and one sheet of backing paper from the CD Flowers In Bloom 2 by Card Creations Plus. The six small cards are part a pack of cards and matching envelopes I purchased for £1 at a recent event. The D.L card I will hold onto. The small greeting stamp is an old relic in my stash but a well loved relic, source unknown.  I hope you enjoy this challenge, I look forward to visiting you to view your projects. Have fun and happy crafting.

Minimal cards for TIOT

This week at Try It On Tuesday we are returning to making a card. The clean and simple style has become very popular, so we are challenging you to make a MINIMAL card. At a recent card class I run, we tackled one of the diffficult cards we all dread making, Sympathy and Thinking of You cards. From one dark green A4 (UK) card, here are two cards I made. They are the same in size and style, only the stamps are different. The first cArd I used for the background a fantastic background stamp from Anita's, it is so versatile. I used TH Distress ink Peeled Paint for all of the stamps used. The daisies are from Sheena Douglas. The second card, I created the background using a piece of Christmas Sequin waste, secured it to the card, then with a piece of cut and dry foam, I stencilled through to achieve the strip of stars.  the stamp is again a favourite of mine, the agapanthus which looks so calm and serene. i do hope you like my two samples. I look forward to visiting you this week, hoping you will enjoy the relaxation of making, if not a simple card, then certainly a minimal card. Good luck and enjoy.
