Red, White and Blue at Sparkles

Hello, thanks for your visit, please stay safe.
Today we have a new challenge at Sparkles Monthly Challenges -
#130 Red, White and Blue.
Please check out the designs by the design team and for
the few rules over on the challenge blog.
I have had a sheet of London papers for years, from Kanban, 
just sitting there for the right moment, the right card.
I think this is the time to use it. 
 Navy and red card double mount for the Kanban London
page. A die cut to say Hello and London die cut letters 
to complete the card. Embellishment being a Union Jack flag. 
Enjoy your crafting.

Wedding


Hello, I hope you are well and enjoying crafting.
Today we begin a new challenge at Sparkles Monthly Challenges. 
June is normally a month of weddings, I do feel so
sorry for all those weddings which have had to be
cancelled due to this dreadful virus situation.
Our challenge #129  Wedding
We can look forward to these happening again.

I have used the following to make my card;-
6" square scallop edge card - papers from my stash

#128 Use A Real Stamp (no Digi)


Hello, me again, thanks for your visit. Today we begin
a new challenge at Sparkles Monthly Challenges
Challenge 128 - Use a Real Stamp (No digis)

For my card, I made a white easel card with blue and
beige card for background mats.
The main image is a Sloth stamp which is part of a
stamp set - Go Wild- which was with Issue #3 
Creative Stamping magazine.
I used Brushed Corduroy DI to stamp the sloth
and the leaves. I used pencils to colour the branch
and the sloth.  Please stay safe everyone.

Spring is in the Air

Hello, how are you? I hope you are coping with your 
lockdown situation, staying safe and well. 
Today we begin a new challenge at Sparkles Monthly Challenges 
#127 Spring is in the Air - chosen by Cathy

inspiration by the Design Team.
I blended 3 Distress Inks, splashed with water,
then dried the card. Tulips stamp was by Dimension Fourth.
I painted the tulips with mica paints and
splashed several times with green paint. 
I love the big bold sentiment by My Paper World.

Thank You Card


Hello everyone, a new challenge starts today at
Sparkles Monthly Challenges - I (Caz)  have chosen 
for Challenge #125 Thank You Card
For more information please visit the blog and be 
sure not to miss the ideas from the design team.
I made a C6 linen card, added a white panel,
which was embossed with a  Cuttlebug script E.F.
Stamped onto a die cut oval - Bluebells from a set
by Chocolate Baroque. Coloured with pencils 
and Promarkers.  Given a dot border.  Stamped
'thanks' sentiment added.

Tropical Vacation


Good morning,  this is the first of two posts today.
Sparkles Monthly Challenges begins today with their
challenge  #119 Tropical Vacation.
I'ave never had a holiday in any tropical area,
but I have some stamps which can take me there.

Stamps used are Tropicals See D's - very old stamps,
which were sold in a CD case.
The hummingbird and small flowers are by Kanban
Coloured with Promarkers and DI watercoloured background.

Wedding


Good morning,  how are you? I hope you are well.
Thanks for your visit,  today we begin a challenge #118 at
Who doesn't love a wedding.  Yes, our challenge, chosen
by Maryvonne is Wedding #118
We would love you to visit the blog, for more details and
to see the wonderful inspiration from the design team. 
For my card I used a white plain 6"sq card. matted with gold
mirri card, background card is white embossed.
I created a pretty edge with two strips of cotton
lace, a strip of pink satin ribbon. 
I added pearls to the ribbon.  The sentiment stamp 
was a free gift from a magazine.
The main image was matted onto gold mirri card.

The stamped image is from LOTV - coloured with Promarkers.

No Patterned Paper

Hello, thanks for your visit. Today there is a new challenge
starting at Sparkles Monthly Challenges.   Helen has chosen
#117 No Patterned Paper.

I used stamps by Hobby Art - Saver the Bees directly
onto my 6" sq card. I used Memento black ink and
coloured with a selecion of Promarkers. 
I added a little glitter to the wings of the bees.

The Colour Purple


Good morning, thanks for your visit. Today we begin a 
Challenge #116 is The Colour Purple.

I made a 5" sq card, Background mat is silver mirri card, 
the purple star paper  is from a Santoro pack of papers.
The ribbon band and the hanging cameo are from the 
packaging of the papers.
The stamp - Forget-me-not is by Santoro - Gorguss  
I coloured her with Promarkers. 
Crystal jewels added in opposite corners.

Flower or Religion


Hello second post today, thanks for popping by.
Today we begin a new challenge at 
Sparkles Monthly Challenges. Cathy has chosen
# 115 Flowers or Religion.

I created a block of  colours with Distress inks.
The stamp is Funky Flowers and sentiment
by Crafty Roo Designs.
Coloured with Promarkers - white highlights added
with a Gelly roll pen and Glamour Dust glitter added.
The block and card edged with a fine liner pen.

Stamped Background


Hello, another new challenge starts today, my second entry.
We are starting our monthly challenge today at
Silvi has chosen  #114 Stamped Background.

I have made a 6" sq card. A black mat on a white card. 
I created a strip by colouring with Picked Rasberry, 
stamped words from the same stamp set as the girls. 
Girls Night Out - from Making  Cards and Papercraft magazine. 
The stamp was coloured with Promarkers. I coloured the 
edges of a white piece again with the Picked Raspberry
for a mat to sit on a black mat.

Sparkles -New Year- New Stash


Hello, thanks for popping by. I do hope Santa was good to you
over the festive season because our first challenge for 2019 at
Challenge # 112 - New Year, New Stash
The DT have some fabulous inspiration awaiating your visit.
My new stash on this 7" card, bought with present money, are
a set of square dies, I never could get a perfect square, no matter
how hard I tried. I also bought a new Friends set of stamps, from
a Making Cards and Papercrafts Magazine sale.
Papers used from my stash, Promarkers used to colour.

Things of Fall/Autumn


Hi, today we begin a new  challenge at  Sparkles Monthly Challenges
Janis chose Things of Fall/Autumn.
The blog has more information with, of course, the delights of
the Design Team inspiration.
I made a small card, approx 4.5"sq. , I stamped the images directly 
in black onto the card.
The stamps are by Dare 2B Artzy - Tangle Leaves
I stamped the leaves and acorns onto a prepared sheet of
blended Distress Inks using many autumnal colours.
The leaves and acorns were stamped with Black Versafine.
Clear Embossing powder to  heat emboss.
Additional colour added with Promarkers.
Fussy cut, decoupaged above the stamped image with 
foam pads. Finally the sentiment was added.

Colour Project


Hello again, today we begin a new challenge at 
It being my turn to choose the challenge, I chose
A Colour Project
To use only two of the following colours
Orange, Black, Purple, Green.

I made a 5 x 7 black card.
Stamped Cosmos Flowers by Woodware Stamps
onto white card with Versamark black ink and 
embossed with clear EP.
I painted the flowers with 3 Zig Brush Pens.
I added an stamped sentiment Inspire again by Woodware.
I decoupaged 3 of the flowers, added black gems to the centre. 
Gave a dotty surround on the main image sheet.

Dies or Punches

Sparkles Monthly Challenges 
our challenge, chosen by Maryvonne is
Dies and or Punches

My card was inspired by a card in the
Hunkydory Cardmaking kit # 7
Embossing with the E.F. included in the kit, I used
Frayed burlap and Vintage Photo to colour the scene.
Using stamps provided I stamped the deckchair and umbrella.
 The hot air balloons were die cut are also in the 
kit mentioned above.

Hello, I am hoping after the few days of very heavy rain,
that our wonderful summer is not already over. The Met Office
has said it will improve again for another week, but not so hot.
Today at Sparkles Monthly Challenges we begin a new challenge.

For my card, I was inspired by a card in the 
Hunkydory Cardmaking Colletion #7
The background sea shell stamps were stamped with Brushed Corduroy DI
All stamps were coloured with Promarkers and  pencils.
The centre design was coloured with various Distress Inks,
All the stamps are in the same kit as above.

Fairies


Hello, thanks for your visit. Today at Sparkles Monthly Challenges
our new challenge chosen by Tracey begins  -a popular one, no doubt.
Challenge #106  -- Fairies
The Design Team have again produced  wonderful inspiration,
please do go over to check it out and see their cards.
For my card, I have used a 7" white scallop edge card.
Matted with black, then white card. 
the nmain card was white, I used various Distress Inks 
to create the background.  The outer darker colour is 
Seedless Preserves.
The two large flowers are Dotty Daisies by Woodware Stamps.
The remainder are by Lavinia Stamps, including the Fairies. 
I have added glitter here and there, of course!
Witha  Sakura white gel pen I added some highlights.
