Today we have a new challenge at Sparkles Monthly Challenges -

#130 Red, White and Blue.

I have had a sheet of London papers for years, from Kanban, 

just sitting there for the right moment, the right card.

I think this is the time to use it. 

 Navy and red card double mount for the Kanban London

page. A die cut to say Hello and London die cut letters 

to complete the card. Embellishment being a Union Jack flag.

I love the fashions of the Roaring 20's which is perfect

to add glitter and gems.

For my card I used the following;-

Silver mirri card - black card - Kanban patterned paper.

Bright silver metallic paper is wrapping paper.

The image is from a calendar, gems and glitter added.

Razzle Dazzle sentiment  die is by Kanban - Roaring 20's.

My card is an A5 bigger than I normally make 

but then it is for a very special day. 

I used gold mirri for the background.

Add lots of gold glitter - gold gems.

factory outlet recently.  Have fun.

I made a 7" sq dcard. The papers and main image are

from Kanban. I have also used silver mirri card for

matting and die cuts. 

the flower die cuts are from a die by Chloe Designs.

I hope there is enough bling to make my card Glitzy.

Challenge #73 Pretty and Pearly

Hello again, today we begin a new challenge at Cardz 4 Galz. 

Helen has chosen - Pretty and Pearly.

For my card, I used a round scallop edge card from Kanban.

I stamped a fairy from a Sugar Buttons set of stamps by Kanban,

she was coloured with Promarkers, then added to two 

varied sizes die cut doileys.

With the addition of flowers, stamped flowers, die cut leaves, 

pearls (of course) and a twine bow

The stamps of the cats and the dog are from a set of 6 animals, each 

with a lovely small sentiment. 

The tag is Kraft card, decorated with LC papers.

The dog card is a round card from Kanban.,

 On CD Sunday Challenge Blog

their challenge for the next two weeks intrigued me. I'll go so far to say

I was truly challenged with 

'No Images or Photos' 

This challenge made me realise how much I depend upon a topper,

usually an image I have stamped and coloured. 

All of the above papers, including the flowers are from a CD,

I've had for ages, it was an old one when I bought it,  I've never

used it, but after today, I will be using it a lot more. There are some

gorgeous papers with fabulous colours.

I usually love to go to town with my backgrounds, but for this challenge, I decided to start off the year clean and fresh, not an original thought, as it turns out. It's amazing how many of my fellow team mates have had a similar idea, strange really, for most of us are 'messy' (inky) crafters.

I used a set of stamps from Kanban, a few coloured and plain gems, a Silver Sakura pen to highlight and TH Distress Ink Stormy sky. I look forward to visiting your blogs. Thanks for your continued support.



A New Theme at MMM

Welcome back, at Make My Monday we are pleased to start the new year with a new topic, it is the turn of Fliss to choose the week's in January weekly topics, her overall month's theme is NATURE. We are starting off for the first week with BIRDS. A very popular subject during 2011, so we are hoping to see lots of entries, please pop over to see the team's samples for there is such a wide variety.

I choose to use a DL card, I do like them for some cards, for they give depth. The background to this card is the result of one of those messy spritz and spray sessions I so enjoy from time to time. I use so many methods of just making a mess, I can't recall the colours I used but they would be a mixture of Cosmic Shimmers and TH Distress Inks, with a few splashes of clear water here and there. I stamped the flowers and humming bird with memento Tuxedo Black ink  and then heat embossed with clear EP. I used a black card to matt it, then onto red card. Small diamond jewels were added, for a little extra bling. Sadly Cosmic Shimmers don't shimmer on photos as they do IRL.

New year - New Stash

Firstly may I wish all of my follower friends a very happy, healthy and creative 2012. I have greatly appreciated your support and comments during 2011 and look forward to hopefully providing more papercraft projects which you will enjoy. Thank you so much.  I would also like to thank the recent new followers whom I haven't so far said welcome to. I am honoured,  again thank you.
 At Fashionable Stamping Challenges, we are starting the New Year asking you to use any new stash the big guy in the red suit may have brought you. It can be anything which we crafty folk call stash, a wide choice.
The theme is anything you wish it to be, just let us see your new stash. My family  don't buy me craft stuff, they all seem to think I have enough or say they wouldn't know what to get. I think it makes good sense, no I don't have enough, who ever does? Being honest I love having the buzz of buying my own stash, especially with the gift of cash, don't you? I bought this set of stamps a couple of weeks before Christmas, as a present to myself.  I set about making the card as if it was a snap of a New Year's Eve party. I hope you like it. St. Luke's Charity Card Buffet - No 4

Here is my fourth card for the St. Luke's Charity Card Challenge, the last for the month. This month the challenge is to add four items from a Card Buffet, no more and no less. Not, for me, an easy challenge. My card is one of the Fabulous Folds from the C.D by Rob Addams, which make really interesting shapes of cards. Covered in patterned paper (1), stamped with flowers  from Kanban, (2), gems added to the flowers, (3) plus ribbon along the lower section. (4). I will be posting, as usual, at least  2-3 of these cards to you at the end of the month. hope your all well ladies.

Less Is More Fest No 6

Back to Less is More, Anything CAS Goes, aim for 1000 - before 12 midnight, here is my No 6. I choose to make this one because I missed the week when the challenge was a touch of red. A beautiful scroll stamp from Kanban, with very small red gems added. So simple, so quick, yet still an enjoyable card to see develop from a white square.

Crafty Cardmaker's Spotlight - Decoupage

Above is the day time outfit For the decoupage challenge I thought I would make a really simple card, if you've never tried it before, a one layer addition couldn't be easier and yet remain so effective. This is from a Kanban kit, I added from my stash the main card, which is a D.L. size and the light blue card I matted the girl onto. Her head, arms, dress and feet have an additional layer, secured with silicone gel. I made the flower posy by gathering a length of blue organza ribbon, securing it, adding a white flower, with silver and the same organza blue ribbon trailing down the card.
