Mum's The Word

Hello again, for the next two weeks at Fantasy Stampers our challenge is Mum's the Word, we would like to see a suitable project to give for Mother's Day, or for a Special Lady in your life. We may no longer be fortunate to have our Mum's in our life but we will hopefully have a special lady we can share this day with. the Design Team have made some lovely designs for you to see.  For my card, I do like the combination of Kraft card and the colour blue. My background paper is left over from a previous challenge, it originated from a CD but I can no longer rememebr which. The stamped image is French Rose from Inkylicious, I love this stamp, it is so versatile. I coloured it with Promarkers. The butterfly is from Do -Crafts. I added lace, pearls, gems and glitter to embellish. Have fun, I look forward to visiting you.

Fantasy

This week at My Time To Craft (MTTC) our challenge is Fantasy - Yes, we want to see fairies, or dragons, or elves or mermaids, anything you consider to be from the world of Fantasy. Please pop over to see what the Design Team have made for you. I have made a card using Lavinia stamps. I first created the background with Peeled Paint, Stormy Sky and Dusty Concord, splatted a few water drops then dried it with a heat gun. I added a little amount of glitter to highlight some areas. I'm looking forward to visiting your areas of Fantasy ( bet you smiled there) during the next week. Have fun.

A is for Apples

Here we are at Alphabet Challenges beginning another trip through the alphabet, with the letter A - , didn't we all learn our ABC beginning with A is for Apple?  This being the  fifth turn of the alphabet I was surprised to read this is the first time we have gone for A is for Apple. For my main image, the apples, I went back to an early stamp from Creative Expressions, drawn by Sheena Douglass. The script stamp  is from a See D set of Oriental flowers. The hessian butterfly is from Poundland. I coloured the background with Disress inks. The apples were coloured with Promarkers.

Anything Green

For the next two weeks at Ruby's Rainbow, the challenge chosen by Jennifer is Anything Green. Wow! so much to choose from and the Design Team have created some fabulous cards. Please pop over to see their creations. For my card, I suppose this is minimalistic for me, but I so enjoyed playing with the Hobbyart stamps.  In this small picture I used FOUR stamps, the hayfield with the trees, the cottage and tree, the fence and finally the sheep. All coloured with Promarkers used lightly to create a much lighter colour as if watercoloured. Matted onto black card. I look forward to seeing your interpretation of Anything Green, so much to play with and to have fun.

Oriental

For the challenge this week at Cardz 4 Guyz our challenge is Oriental.  It is nice to  try something different,  a revival of Oriental has been recently established,  our additional challenge  of course is it has to be suitable for a male to receive.  The Design Team have some wonderful inspiration, plese pop over to see them. For my card,  the background paper is  handmade Korean paper, given to me by a friend. I created the image by blening with TH Distress Inks, Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint and Pine Needles. I don't know the make of the Bamboo stamp. Twisted cord and thread, the medallion is from a set from The Stampman. Have fun everyone.
