Lazy Summer Days

Here Come the Boys , this week are looking for Lazy Summer Days, well this couldn't be more lazy could it? The papers are from LOTV Country Gent, (love them) the stamp is by Fizzy Moon, along with the greetings stamp, I love this set for it comes with a number of male relation stamps.  I paper pieced the book , which is entitled Sleep Deprivation - How to deal with insomnia. I coloured with Promarkers. Very close to closing time but I have had a busy week, pleased I made it at last.

O - One Word

Over at Alphabet Challenges Tammy has chosen for the letter O - One Word Only for the challenge for the next two weeks, please pop over to see the inspiration from the Design Team. I needed to make a few Christmas cards for my class, this being one of them which fitted in perfectly for the challenge. I am really enjoying using Kraft card. The tartan background is from a LOTV Christmas papers pad, the stamp is a favourite of mine, Winter Scene from Hero Arts stamped in black, with the addition of a larger tree from a Creative Expressions set designed by Sheena Douglas. I stamped it with Pine Needles, added glitter to the snow. The JOY word is from another Sheena Douglas set called Pinescape. I edged the Kraft card with Frayed Burlap and Vintage Photo. I look forward to popping around to see your projects with  One Word Only, have fun everyone.

Slowing Down

Regular followers and design team members may be wondering what's up? Over the last few weeks I have resigned from DT posts of four challenge blogs. There is nothing wrong, I assure you. After a long break during my husband's illness, I realised I had been keeping a very tight schedule of blogging. I have enjoyed it all but feel maybe it's time for me to take a creative break,  to continue creating but to have a rest from being on  DT's.  I will be staying with CD Sunday Challenges and Alphabet Challenges.

On The Beach at CD Sunday Challenges

Maybe we in the UK have had our summer now, but memories of days On The Beach keep us smiling. This week the subject at CD Sunday Challenges  is my choice, so before we put away our summer clothes let's have some more time On The Beach. The background and main image on my card are from the very pretty Christine Haworth images  - on Paintbox Poppets, produced by Joanna Sheen. I added half of the layers of decoupage provided, a few stamped sea shells from Coast - Creative Expressions. I am looking forward to seeing your projects, have fun everyone.

#59 Addicted To CAS

Here we are at # 59 at Addicted To Stamps and More, for our CAS  week. This card is probably the Cleanest and Simplest I have ever made. I was given this stamp some time ago from a friend, this is only the second time I have used it. I coloured it with Promarkers, being sure not to add too much. Sometimes we need very little on a card because we need the sentiment to be the most important element. I look forward to visiting you over the next week to see your CAS projects.

Kindly being sponsored by Nicecrane Designs this week.

Have fun everyone - another Christmas card ready in the box.

Add a Number

Hi, at CD Sunday Challenges for this week Jocelyn is asking for us to ADD A NUMBER, the choice is so open to us to choose something suitable from our CD Collections, you could say spoilt for choice, when the only requirement is to Add a Number. I have been looking forward to being able to use one of my latest CD purchases Fabulous Fashion from Katy Sue, I was so impressed when I saw it both on TV and at a craft show, a case of I didn't need it, but I had to have it. LOL . There is so much to choose from on the Double CD but I finally decided to choose a soft subtle colour with the occasional flash of dark purple.

#4 Twinchies Challenge - Florals

Making twinchies  ( 2 inches square) doesn't take long, but it's fun. I am entering the above into the Twinchies Challenge Blog for their challenge for August #4 - Florals. I used a stamp which was free with the Craft Stampers Magazine, I coloured it with Promarkers and added some glitter. Thanks Bev, I'll be back with something different later in the month.

Add Some Dimension

Here we are once again for Make My Monday, with a different challenge. This week you are asked to provide some form of dimension to your project, whether it be 3 d or layered or with elements with dimension. I think this card has most of the possible forms of dimension. I recently purchased the Katy Sue Fabulous Fashion CD.  I can say, currently this is my most favourite CD of all times. As everyone knows my passion is stamping, however, I do like to play with CDs, more so for when I am making my cards for charity. Each year I choose a charity to support, this year, being two,  the Salvation Army and the British Legion. I look forward to visiting your blogs to see how you have met the challenge of Adding Dimension.
Thank you to everyone who has visited me, I truly appreciate every visit and comment.

Quick and Cute

This week at CD Sunday Challenges Sue B has chosen for our challenge Quick and Cute, a super choice.
I simply love the CD from Debbie Moore's Shabby Chic range made in collaboration with Leonie Pujol - Songbird. The images are so cute, in a good choice of colours. From one design sheet, and one background sheet I made the above two cards, with the addition of ribbon, a button, and of course a sprinkling of glitter.
I hope you like them and find they inspire you to make for our challenge a Quick and Cute project. Have fun.

Make Your Mark # 57

Challenge # 57 at Addicted to Stamps and More is Make Your Mark. What does that mean, well it means, anything you use which will make it's mark on your project. Water colours, alcohol pens, inks, paints, you get the idea.  For my project, I chose a favourite stamp, which I was lucky to purchase at a bargain price. You will all know now how much I love a bargain, it's a good excuse to buy isn't it? I used Promarkers to add the colour to the flowers.
Recipe
White and orange card stock
Background DP from aa hideaway pack
Penny Black stamp - Garden Poem
Greeting stamp, ribbon from my stash.
I look forward to visiting you to see what you have created this week, for our Make Your Mark Challenge.

Silhouettes

Hello, this week at Make My Monday, Jacqueline is challenging us with SILHOUETTES. There are many silhouette stamps and of course you can use masks for this technique. My card is in the style of Sheena Douglas, which is not surprising as I have heat embossed her Pinescape stamps, a background technique, Wrinkle Free Distress,  I learnt from her on Create and Craft, and at a workshop, originally from the artistry of Tim Holtz.  Matted onto a piece of silver mirri card.
Materials used
White card stock - Silver mirri card
Distress inks - Stormy Sky, Broken China, Chipped Sapphire.
Cosmic Shimmer Mist Aqua Lagoon
Post it note - circle punch,  for the moon
Sheena Douglas - Pinescape stamps set.
Versamark - Wow! powders - Black Tinsel

Transportation at CD Sunday Challenges

Hello again, and welcome, this week at CD Sunday Challenges our sponsor is Linby. The subject gives you lots of opportunity to find something on one of your CDs to be suitable for TRANSPORTATION. I have an admission to make, when I create a project for a Design Team, I do always try to actually create the project. However, this time, I was in need for a card for my youngest son, I thought this was so suitable for him. I found it on the Debbie Moore Shabby Chic Travel CD, it is from the Projects which she provides for ideas. I thought maybe, for a change, it would be good to show, how these projects do work out. I therefore, thank the Debbie Moore team for this project and do not take any credit for it, other than putting the card together as per the instructions on the CD. I am looking forward to visiting your creations, most of all enjoy the process, crafting is about having fun, it being the best form of diversional therapy I know.
