Something Beginning with the letter S

Sea Shells, Stafish, Sentiment, String and Square card.

Hello again,  this week at Cardz 4 Guyz  we are giving you a break from Easter projects, unless of course you wish to make something for Easter, because you have SO much choice this week. The challenge chosen by Helen is Something beginning with the letter S. Please take a look at the Design Team's inspiration, it is amazing. For my project, I have chosen Sea Shells.  I used a bought   scalloped edged Kraft card, matted with pale blue and then white card. The main image was matted onto Kraft card. For the main image I used a piece of white card,  added and blended several Distress Inks, blues, a little yellow, pale brown. I  heat embossed second generation stamped shells using Gathered Twigs ink and clear embossing powder. I sprinkled and heated to melt, some blue and gold spinkles from Stampendous Frantage powders.  Added twine, tied with a bow securing a starfish charm.  I hope you are thinking of maybe taking up the challenge. See you at C4G. Have fun. Thanks for visiting and for any comments you may leave.

Easter Animals

Hello,  this is my second posting today.  At  MTTC,  My Time To Craft,  for the next week our challenge is Easter Animals - I'm sure you'll have as much fun as the DT have, please pop over and see their amazing projects. For my DT entry, I have created a card, using papers from a Generations paper pad, with some gorgeous fresh spring colours. The main image is 'Happy Easter' from LOTV, coloured with Promarkers and Distress Inks, Tumbled Glass and Mown Lawn.  I love how the rabbits are tearing off the paper to get to the wonderful chocolate Easter egg. The embellishments and greeting are from stash.  To everyone who celebrates, I wish you a very Happy Easter.

Easter

Hello everyone, this is one of two entries for today. I am starting with my DT entry to
Fantasy Stampers where for the next two weeks we will be challenging you to join us with an Easter project. Remember we do accept all forms of paper crafts it does not have to be a card. Please pop over to check out the DT inspiration.  For my card, I used papers from a Generations pad of papers, which are so fresh and springlike.  The main image is from LOTV - Spring Swing, coloured with Promarkers and Distress Ink Tumbled Glass. The flowers and butterfly I made with air dry clay and a Katy Sue mould. The bunting is from a CD - Halycon Days from Crafter's Companions. The letters for Easter are from my stash. Have fun and if it applies to you, a Happy Easter.

Buttons and Bows

For the next two weeks at Ruby's Rainbow the challenge chosen is Buttons and Bows. Plaease pop over to see the wonderful inspirational ideas from the DT.  For my card, I have previously made a CAS card for another challenge, I seem to have remained in the same creative zone. I know I saw a card similar to this recently on Pinterest by Wendy B, so I thank her for the inspiration. A scrap of designer paper, a selection of small  purple buttons and a ribbon bow.  Quick, simple and effective.

Clean and Simple

Hello, it's time for our challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz.  Julie has chosen Clean and Simple, CAS. Please pop over to see the fabulous inspiration from the Guest Designers and Design Team. Personally I don't find CAS cards easy to do, so this certainly was a challenge for me. This is what I love about the DT members choosing the challenges,  for we all have our strengths and weakenesses, as well as our preferences in card making skills.  For my card, I have used a purchased black scallop edged card. A piece of white card on which I stamped with black a strip of birthday candles from Do Crafts. The greeting is a stamp from Hobbycraft.  I decided to keep it monochrome, to be more  masculine.

Spring Is In The Air

Hello, here at Fanatasy Stampers, our theme for the next two weeks is Spring Is In The Air. During the past week I agreed , especially when going through a pretty village which had so many clusters of gorgeous crocuses,  until today.  It snowed all morning, it has been a dank miserable day, so I feel my spring may be in the air, and hopefully will burst upon us in the next few weeks. Please pop over to the blog to see the wonderful array of Spring from the Design Team. For my card, I have used for the background LOTV papers. I added faux stitching, to highlight the different papers and layers used. A greeting and butterfly from Kraftyhands CD Butterfly Botanicals. The main image is from LOTV - Bluebells and Primulas, which I coloured with Promarkers.  Have fun everyone, I look forward to Spring being upon us.

For a Special Lady

Tomorrow in the UK it is Mother's Day, however we know there are also many other special ladies we can please. Our theme for the next week at My Time To Craft (MTTC) is For A Special Lady.
Please pop over to see the Design Team's wonderful creations.
I have made a box which holds the fancy tea cup card.  All the papers and printouts came from a CD from The Card Hut, designed by the House of Zandra called Fabulous Tea and Cakes. I thought it was something different from an ordinary card for a special lady.  Have fun everyone. For all ladies, whether mother's or not, have a wonderful time on Sunday, hopefully with your loved ones.

Hobbies or Pastimes at Cardz 4 Guyz

I chose the theme for this week's challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz, which is Hobbies or Pastimes, please pop over to see the wonderful cards made by the Design Team. I know many will think firstly of sport related hobbies or pastimes, but I think this is an opportunity to share the less commented upon interests. As an example I have made a folded card showing Bird Watching or as it is known - Twitching. The papers and image are from The Great Outdoors which is a whimsical CD from The Card Hut/ Card Creations Plus. I hope you enjoy the theme and can find something relevant for a man or boy in your life.

Zentangle It!

This week at My Time To Craft (MTTC) we are challenging you to Zentangle It!. Now don't panic, as you will find looking at the blog, the Design Team are not all tanglers, so you need only attempt a small amount or you can even use a CD with Zentangles if you own one. The idea is to either allow you to demonstrate your tangling or to practice a new skill, it can be very relaxing and therapeutic.
I have kept my card simple not to detracat from the Woodware Camelia stamp which I have filled with tangles. Have fun, check out on You Tube, Pinterest or other media sources.

The Design Team as usual have presented a fabulous selection for your inspiration. We also have two wonderful Guest Designers for the month of March, so please do pop over and welcome them. For my card, I really had to use one of my newest purchases - the lovely Woodware sailing boat.  The papers are from a pad  in my stash, the boat was coloured with Promarkers. I coloured white card candi with a yellow Promarker. I have left space for a number to be added for a young child. Have fun.

Going Green

It's the 1st of the month so here we are with the challenge for Sparkles Monthly Christmas Challenge, which for March is Going Green, two rules which are necessary, it must be a Christmas project and be predominately Green. Otherwise have fun and get yourself another Christmas card put aside. Please take a peek at the Design Team's inspiration. For my card, I have used dark green co-ordinations card for the background, striped red and Green paper. The image is one of my favourites from  Tall Tails form Katy Sue Designs, drawn by House of Zandra, coloured with Promarkers. Embellishments are Green mirri card die cut greeting, red and green flower, green card candy. Have fun everyone.
