Sketchy Time

Hello, thanks for your visit. Today sees the start of a new challenge for
the next two weeks at MTTC - My Time To Craft.
The challenge is Sketchy Time. To see the sketch, check out the details and
see the wonderful DT creations please pop over to the blog.
I have used both background papers and the main image from a CD.
Flights of Fantasy by Katy Sue Designs. - Designer of artwork is
House of Zandra.
The purple shiny paper originated as wrapping paper - again
from my bottomless stash. Have fun with the challenge.

Peaches and Cream

Hello, thanks for your visit. Today sees the start of the new challenge
at Fantasy Stampers which is
Peaches and Cream
Please pop over to the blog to see the wonderful inspiration from the DT.
For my card, I was at first concerned for I have no peach coloured paper in my
vast stash. Then of course, I thought of my Promarkers,
I have recently purchased some new colours, and I knew there were some
Peach colours in the set. Problem solved.
I edged a piece of cream card with the chisel end of a Peach Promarker.
I coloured a strip of cream satin ribbon with the same Peach Promarker.
I embossed a piece of cream card for the mat.
The stamp from Woodware is Rose Wreath stamp. I stamped this onto
cream card, then stamped again, cutting,  colouring and decoupaging three of
the roses. I used Ivory and Blush Promarkers for the cream roses,
along with Peach and Soft Peach for the peach roses.

Shaker Card

challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz.   Amy has chosen a special type of card.
A Shaker Card

Please check out the super creations from the DT on the blog.
I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest to make my card.
The guitar is an embroided item which a friend gave me some time ago,
proof once again why we as crafters should keep all bits in our stash,
for they will in time be used.
The largest star is mirri card, punched with a Fiskars scissor punch.
The smaller stars are stamped and gold heat embossed - stamps by
Crafters Companion - Urban Graffiti and sentiment - Street Wise
Gold gems, smaller crystal gems and blue seed beads added .
Have fun, I certainly did, it's simply ages since I made a Shaker card.

Clean and Simple

Hello, welcome to my blog, I do appreciate you took the time to visit.
Today is the start of a two weekly challenge at Fantasy Stampers.
We are a STAMPING blog, you are required to actually use a stamp.
The new challenge is Clean and Simple.
Please pop over to the blog to check out the details and to see the
super entries from the Design Team.
For my card, I know at first glance it does look as if I have spent
some time zentangling the images, but no, truth is these are the actual stamps
from Dare 2 B Artsy - Butterflies and Flowers.
I have added more black in certain areas with a Micron pen, but this was a
very quick and easy card to make.
Have fun - I hope you enjoy the challenge.

Christmas in July @ MTTC

Hi, welcome to my blog, I hope your well. Today is the start of
another two weekly challenge at My Time To Craft - MTTC
Our challenge may get you kick started to begin preparing for the big
event of the year for most of us, especially for card makers.
Christmas in July
Please do check out the Design Team's creations.
I used a shaped card, I needed one to be tall enough to accommodate
all of the stamp I used for this card.
For two previous posts if you check back, I used the top 3 snowmen
for one card and the lower 3 for another card, to see just how
universal this stamp can be.
The stamp is Snow People by Woodware stamps.
I used kraft paper, darkened with Walnut Stain DI.  I embossed snowflakes
by Sheena Douglass with detailed white EP to create the background
The stamped snowmen were coloured with Promarkers.
Glitter added to the pop pops on the hats.
Shiny ribbon and a sentiment added.

Sparkles Challenges - Christmas In July

Hi, well, it being the 15th of the month, it is time once again for
a new challenge at Sparkles Monthly Challenges.
The theme, chosen by Helen N is Christmas In July.
I am sponsoring this challenge with a small gift of a set
of Christmas stamps and rosettes. The Design Team have some
amazing inspiration for you. This is my second card in July
featuring the same stamp, a challenge I  have set myself.
I used a white scallop edge card, I stamped the set of
snowmen, masking off the remaining two snowmen
from this long fun stamp - Snow People from Woodware Stamps.
I drew a rectangle around the stamped image and cut out
pieces leaving no white background, only the snowmen are there.
I coloured it with blue and grey Promarkers.
Added lots of sparkly Glamnour Dust. There is a blue
insert to provide a colourful background and see through from the front.
The sentiment was cut from a die.
Hve fun, I look forward to visiting your blogs.

Christmas in July @ Cardz 4 Guyz

Hi everyone , today sees the start of a weekly challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz.
Julie has chosen Christmas In July.
This has proven to be a popular challenge at this time of the year in blogland,
so I decided to make as many cards as I can with only one stamp, in July.
The Design Team have such a varied display it would be a shame to miss them.
For my card, I have made a 7" square card, The papers are from a pack I bought
last year, from Do Crafts.
The stamp which you will see during July is Snow People from Woodware.
For this card I have coloured with Promarkers using reds and greens. The
panel was matted onto black card from my stash.
Two bought glittery snowflakes and a Christmas sentiment were added.

In The Country

Firstly I apologise for the poor light, we are having dull days and
lots of rain.  Today starts the new weekly challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz.
In The Country
My go to stamps for in the country had to be Hobbyart Stamps.
In this small picture I used FOUR stamps, the hayfield with the trees, the cottage and tree, the fence and finally the sheep. All coloured with Promarkers used lightly to create a much lighter colour as if watercoloured. Matted onto black card.
A fairly clean and simple card for anyone who enjoys the beauty
of the English countryside.

Triple Stamping Technique

Hello,  I am excited this week to be re-introducing an old
technique which seems to have faded away, as they do, but,
now and again they need to be taken of the shelf and played with again.
I was delighted when Shell at My Time To Craft (MTTC)
chose for our challenge for the next two weeks
Now don't worry for she has also given us a U Tube video to
see how easy it is to make. It is American, so if not in the US you may
want to change the measurements, as I did for my 6" x 4" standard UK size.
Please pop to the blog and see the delights from the Design Team.
I coloured my white card blending DI's
Squeezed Lemonade, Shaded Lilac and Peacock Feathers
My  stamps used are a La Blache Swirls foam stamp and
Hero Arts wooden stamp from a 4 set - Poetic Prints. - An old but
favoured set of stamps.
Twine added with a dangling heart charm.
Have fun, I did, I'm going to make another very soon.

Wish Upon A Star

Hello, time again for a new challenge at Fantasy Stampers
We are a STAMPING challenge, no Digis please.
Jan has chosen 'Wish Upon A Star'
Please check out the blog, my fellow team mates have
some amazing cards for your inspiration.
For my card, I used for the base a  5" x 7" scallop edge card.
Matted this with a piece of navy blue cardstock.
I added a matted panel to hold a piece of constellation paper.
I punched 3 large stars with my scissors Fiskars Star Punch.
Using one of the 4 stamps in a Tim Holtz set - Eclectic Palette,
I stamped on each of the 3 stars with Chipped Sapphire DI.
The designs are all part of the same stamp.
I then from the centre of the large stamp, stamped three small stars,
these were used as embellishments.
Greeting stamped - Just For Men set from Crafter's Companion,
The 3 large stars and the greeting were matted onto the same
navy blue cardstock. Have fun.
