Hello, thanks for visiting my blog.

There being a 5th Tuesday in this month, we have a regular challenge,
Something Beginning with ...........Cyndi for this challenge has chosen
the letter .........F.
Please pop over to check out the DT, without any discussion,
the majority seem to have been thinking of the same thing, so come on
show us how it can be more varied, for there are so many other words we
could have chosen.
I die cut a circle in my 6" square card. Die cut a circle frame for
front and back. I sandwiched between the two a piece of acetate.
On the outside, I stamped seaweed and shells using Sheena Douglass
Under the Sea stamps onto coloured paper.
On the die cut white circle from the front of the card I stamped
a scene with fish. Sorry I bought this at a craft event - source unknown.
I coloured the scene with Promarkers.

the challenge is Include a Furry Friend.
Please pop over and check out the super creations from the DT.
By the way we have a DT Call - looking for a couple more members.
I know a fox isn't really a Furry Friend,  apologies, he was the
only furry creature I could find in my stash. Hope it is forgivable.
I used papers from my stash, previously printed from a CD.
The fox papers are from La Pashe - a Trinitage set.
The small image on the front page has 3 layers.
The Trinitage comes about when you open the card.

There are 3 levels supported by folded pieces of card
(look to the left side the edge of one can be spotted).

At The Beach

Hello, welcome to my blog, I hope you enjoy your visit.
Today begins a two week challenge at Fantsy Stampers
At The Beach
Imagine the fun you can have with this challenge, why don't you
pop over to the blog to see the wonderful inspiration from the DT.
Again I have used Kraft card for my base card and to mat the design layer.
For my background I used several Distress Inks.
I used watercolour paper
I created a line for the horizon and for the edge of the sea and sand,
 watercoloured the three areas.
I stamped onto the card to give a base for my decoupaged image.
I stamped the image again onto white card and coloured with
Promarkers. I added another bird on the sand and more in the sky.
Birds in the sky - Sweet Desire Lighthouse Set
Birds and wooden stump from Elusive Images as was before
becoming Chocolate Boroque. I used a white pencil for the edge of the sea.
I had great fun creating this card. Please have a go.

Embossing Heat or Dry

Hello, welcome to my blog. Today is the first day of a two week challenge
at My Time To Craft, the challenge is
Embossing Either Dry or Heat Embossing.
Please pop and see the  inspirational DT creations
For my DT card, I chose to work on Kraft card which I do like.
It can show some techniques very  clearly as with heat embossing.
All the background and kraft papers are from my stash,
The main design page was created using stamps from
Honey Doo Stamps - stamping with Versamark.
I added white detail embossing powder, which was then heated.
My favourite colouring medium is Promarkers, however, you can't
use an alcohol pen next to  heat embossed areas, for the alcohol
breaks down the embossed lines. Bearing this in mind I used
watercolour pencils without adding any water to colour the design.
I added a few coloured gems.
The greeting stamp is ancient - no idea by who. Go on have a go.

Covered with printed paper from Katy Sue Designs CD
Fabulous Fashion. A favourite CD of mine.
The decoupaged dress is form the same CD.
The addition of the bow with handmade rose all made from scraps.
The greeting is from a CD from Kraftyhands.
I have added small purple jewels to the centre of each flower.
Thanks ladies for another super challenge, hope your all well.

By The Seaside

Hi everyone, today starts a new weekly challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz.
The  challenge chosen by Jan is By The Seaside.
Please check out the wonderful creations by the Design Team.
I had great fun making my card for the DT gallery.
By no means could this be called a quick card, but you know
when you just go along and the ideas keep flowing? It just kept
growing and growning.
I started with an 8" sq card.
I used three blue shades of TH Distress Inks, patted onto an
A4 piece of watercolour paper. Sprayed all over with water. Allowed
it to form the globules of coloured water. Placed the A4 paper
over onto the inks, Dried with my heat tool, repeated the process
several times. This formed my background for both panels.
The larger panel on the right was enhanced adding printed
beach huts, greetings and bunting from Crafter's Companion CD Halcyon Days.
The left panel was enhanced using all stamps from Sweet Desire
Lighthouse, yachts and birds. The lighthouse and yachts were
stamped again, coloured with Promarkers and decoupaged onto the panel.
Both panels edged with Black Soot  DI, matted onto black card.

Monochrome

Hi, welcome to my blog, today begins a new two weekly
 challenge at Cardz 4 Galz
The challenge is Monochrome - at one time all we ever saw was
black and white but now I am happy when we see various colours
used for this challenge.
Please do check out the blog to see the wonderful creations from the DT.
I used a scalloped circle card for my base.
Used a Spellbinder die for my circle.
To create the yellow shades I used Tim Holtz technique called
Wrinkled Free Distress. To see a more detailed description check out
the previous post.
I heat embossed the stamp with Clear embossing powder.
The stamp is Meadow Flowers by Woodware stamps.
I watercoloured the flowers with the same Distress Inks used for the background.
I know yellow isn't to everyone's taste, but it is a lovely stamp.

Sail Away

Hello,  today starts a new challenge at Ruby's Rainbow.
My choice is  Sail Away for the next two weeks.
Sadly this will be the very last challenge at Ruby's Rainbow,
Shaz, the owner is finding other aspects of her life are not
giving her the time to continue running the blog. My compliments
to her for organising a beautiful challenge blog over many years.
I wish her every happiness in her new ventures.
I would also like to say a farewell to my fellow DT members, it has been a
pleasure sharing creative blogland space with you all.
Please visit the blog to see the farewell cards from the DT.
*********
I created my card by first patting onto my craft sheet several
pats of 3 blue Distress Ink shades, sprayed with water and patted down
the card, drying it, then patting it down again onto the wet inks.
Tim Holtz refers to this as the Wrinkle Free Distress Technique.
I used all four stamps from Sweet Desire stamps, using Versafine Black ink.
I drew a line for the horizon.  I then added white highlights
with a Sakura white gel pen.
A sad farewell to Ruby's Rainbow.

with papers from LOTV Paper pad - Father Knows Best.
The main image of the old locomotive is by Tandastamps.
Coloured with Promarkers.
I used Frantage gold EP, glitter, fragments and white EP for the smoke.
I love this mixture of the Frantage elements.
I also gave a shabby look to the card to make it look older.
