Inspired by( L is for Literature)

Hello everyone, How are you? Feeling well, I hope. Today another scorcher, though cooler than yesterday.
We begin a new challenge today at Alphabet Challenges. Veronika has chosen L is for Literature - to be inspired by a book - to be sure to name the bookTo see the inspiration given by the design team, please visit the above blog.
For my book I chose Count Dracula, I have many books in my mind which have found themselves in my top favourite books list , but it's not easy to find a stamp or similar in the craft world to produce a card, or worse still is it my lack of imagination and creativity:? Since making this card, I have had another 2 ideas.

A 6" white card, a silver Mirri mat and a black mat. On a piece of white card, I  painted  a stormy sky and grass for the  landscape around Whitby Abbey in North Yorkshire, England. The stamp is by Crafty Individuals.  A few small fun bats in the sky, Count Dracula stamp is by Crafty Sentiment Designs. Promarkers used to colour Dracula, who was stamped, coloured and fussy cut, then adhered to the scene. I hope you enjoy the challenge and feel inspired.

I began with a white 7 x 5" card. On a piece of watercolour card I smooshed a background with a few Distress Inks, then stamped the Woodware Stamps, by Franscious  Reed - Poppies , which is very distressed in design. I stamped the leaves and poppy heads onto smaller watercolour card, painted them with Koh-I-Noor watercolour palette.  Fussy cut them, then decoupaged to the main mage.  Edged the card with Chipped Sapphire. DI. Added to silver Mirri card. Added the image panel with 3D foam pads, then onto a piece of Duo Design paper by Hunkydory. I added a sentiment with a stamp in my stash. Take care, I look forward to seeing your version for Poppies/Remembrance.

Dragonfly Dreams - Birthday.

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today we begin a new challenge at Dragonfly Dreams. This will suit everyone, for our September  challenge is Birthday. To see the inspiration by the design team, please visit the blog.

I made a 5 x 7" white card. I added a pretty green mat. On a white piece of card, I added die cut balloons. I used a balloon die from my stash, cutting varied pieces of paper. The strings and dashes around the edge of the white card were hand drawn. The greeting was die cut using the same green card as the mat. I look forward to seeing your Birthday cards.

Build Me A Snowman

Hello everyone, I hope you are well. Today at Sparkles Christmas Challenges we begin our new monthly Challenge. For the month of September our challenge is #152 Build Me A Snowman, chosen by me. To see the inspiration from the design team, please visit the blog.

I began with a 7". sq. card. I added a silver Miri mat. I created the background using scraps of Christmas designer sheets from a pad in my stash. The main image is a scene from the Hunkydory - Little Book of Snowmen. I decoupaged three layers to the scene. Matted it onto a silver Miri border.  The sentiment is a die cut from my stash of Christmas dies. I am looking forward to seeing your entries.

Hobbies

Hello everyone, welcome to my blog. Today we begin a new challenge at Make My Monday. Pamela has chosen for us #208 Hobbies!, We can choose any form of a hobby, whether it be for male, female or even both. It will be interesting to see the hobbies you choose. To see the design team's wonderful creations please visit the blog.

I began with a 5 x 7" white card blank. I created the background by folding over the edges of a piece of   spare card with various colours and patterns of Washi tape. I only needed approximately 3/4" around the edges. This was then glued to the main body of the card. I fussy cut from 3 sheets of the sewing machine design from a Sewing Little Book from Hunkydory to create the decoupaged design, adhered to a piece of gold Mirri card. This was then adhered to the card with the Washi tape. I added  a stamped sentiment from my stash. I hope you enjoy the challenge, there are so many hobbies to choose from. Look in your stash, I am sure you will find something. Have fun, it's different. Stay well.
