G is for Gentleman

Hello and welcome, thanks for your visit. Today at Alphabet Challenges we have reached the letter G. Veronika, on the design team has chosen G is for Gentlemen,  we need to see a Masculine card. To see the inspiration from the remainder of the team, please visit the blog.

For my card, I began with a white 6" card. I used gold Mirri card for the mat, the background paper, like old cork is from a paper pad. Using a page from a Hunkydory Little Square Book - Here's to Him, I decoupaged the jacket and the shoes. I created using foam tape a blue frame and added a sentiment. I hope you enjoy creating a card for a Gentleman.

Inspired by a Book

Hello, thanks for your visit. Today we begin a new challenge at Cardz 4 Galz, Dawn has chosen #228 Inspired by a book. To see the design team's inspiration, please visit the blog.

I began with a 5 x 7 in white card. A gold Mirri card added for the mat. added to this for the background a sheet of paper from a paper pad. Using several layers of a page from a Little Book of Dragons by Hunkydory, I built up and created the 3 d effect of the dragon on the books. This of course was inspired by my love of the Harry Potter series of books by J.K. Rowling. I hope you enjoy the challenge and have fun.

The great outdoors can mean so many things to so many different people. I love the beach and the countryside, which we love to explore, with a picnic backpack and a camera and we're off.

All of the stamps I used are with a sheet of stamps included in the Creative Stamping magazine #83. The stamps are from Hunkydory Love of Stamps - Great Outdoors.  I used Distress inks, Versafine Onyx Black and Promarkers. Techniques used include Fussy cutting, using a stamping platform and using 3d foam pads.

Die - Cut -Christmas

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today we begin a new challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenges. Dawn has chosen #161 Use Dies. To see the inspiration from the design team, please visit the blog. we are currently looking to increase our Design team, please see our DT Call, if you are unsure but would like to give it a try, why not be a guest for a couple of months to see what you think?

I began with a white scallop edge card. I used a gold piece of Mirri card for the die I introduced it to. I don't know the name or make of the die, I was gifted this and others from a friend who was decluttering.  I added this with 3d foam where I could add it, to a piece of red Hunkydory card. I finally added a few red jewels and a die cut greeting.
