Stitching Real or Faux

Hello, welcome to my blog. Today we begin  a new challenge at Make My Monday. Dawn on the DT has chosen #241 Stitching Real or Faux. To see the wonderful inspiration from the DT, please visit the blog.

My card began with a 7" x 5 "white folded card. I added a pink and green tartan for the background. I added a page from a Hunkydory Little Book of Sewing. I adapted the page, added it to a pink Mirri mat, with two strips of plastic coated lace. The 'With Love' sentiment is from the same book.

Confession time....... Please don't look for any stitching real or faux. Let's pretend I lost a needle.
Truth is I have arthritic problems with the fingers needed to hold a needle. At least my card represents sewing. Honesty is the best policy. Happy crafting.

Christmas Transport

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today we begin a new challenge at Sparkles Monthly Challenges. Helen from the desigh team, has chosen #183 Christmas Transport. To see the remainder of the team's creative inspiration, please visit the blog.

I used a red base 7" x 5" card. I used a sheet of sky colour paper from a Hunkydory Duo Design paper, for the background. The main topper is a  6" x 4" page from a Hunkdory Little Book  - Christmas, This was decoupaged with 3 layers, giving such reality to the train. I matted this onto a slightly bigger gold Mirri mat. The sentiment is from my Christmas stash.

To the players who visit the blog and my own I wish you alll a very happy Christmas/Holidays and a healthy, happy new year.  I will see you around again in 2025, I look forward to it.

Tags are a wonderful way to experiment with design and techniques. They can be a personal gift tag, or something to make, just for the fun of it, an example of this being aboave,  I will also be adding it to a present in a few weeks time. I used paper from a bright selection of papers in my stash. The reindeer once existed on an old ATC, another practice piece. I added some Washi tape and a die cut. The small greetings stamps are from LOTV stamp set, old but great fun. I hope you have fun making your tag or card.

#167 Feature a Christmas Song or Carol

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today we begin a new challenge at Sparkles Christmas challenges. Debbie, on the DT has chosen #167 Feature a Christmas Song or Carol. To see the wonderful inspiration from the design team please visit the blog.

I have always liked the song Little Donkey, first sang by the Beverley Sisters, only if your elderly, you will have heard of them. Later it bcame a hit again sang by Nina and Frederick.

For my card I used a plain white card, and added printed papers from a Dreamees CD - Simply Christmas, layered onto a silver Mirri mat.  A pretty die to mat a topper from a Pollyanna Pickering collection of Christmas Toppers. I added a Christmas greeting, 3 small silver studs and snowflakes created with a punch.
