Faux or Real Stitching

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today we begin a new challenge at Make My Monday. Billie A has chosen #246 Faux or Real Stitching. To see the remainder of the the design team's wonderful creations please visit the blog.

I used a white scallop edged 6" sq. card. From a Tony Darroch Stamps By Me Premium Magazine I used a piece of her background paper for the background of my card. I attempted to draw a stitched line around the four sides. Using a stitched edged oval die, I cut a piece of white card, which I blended with DI Seedless Preserves. The stamp from the A5 set of stamps, I watercoloured using watercolour pencils.  This was fussy cut and adhered to the oval using  foam pad strips. The sentiment was stamped directly onto the background. I embellished the card by adding a number of purple sequins. Have fun.
