Hello, For an upcoming male birthday, I was inspired by some cards  I saw on Pinterest. I began with a white  7 x 5in. card. I added a Black mat and an Orange mat. I embossed a Circles design, using an embossing folder. Using the colours, Purple, Green and Orange, I twice die cut letters for the word Happy. I adhered each letter to another the same, to give more dimension,. I stamped the birthday greeting from somewhere in my stash. Finally I added Green and Orange enamel dots. Happy crafting.

I began with a white 7 x 5 in. card. I added a mat of black card, then added another mat of orange card. On the white card using a stamp from Toni Darroch's Stamps by Me, Celebrate stamp, I stamped the flower. I then added several shades of orange and the leaves two shades of green. I used Hunkydory's Prima Water pens to add the colours. The greeting stamp is also by Stamps By Me.

I Began with a 7" sq. card. I turned it for it to become a tent folded card, rather than a book type fold. 

I added a gold Mirri background. Using papers from a Debbie Moore Inspiration magazine, #75, I created borders for the edges. Added a pretty rose paper. I mounted onto a piece of pink card the wonderful motivational quote. This was added using 3d foam tape. Happy crafting.

Add an Animal

I began with a white 6"card. I added a gold Mirri background. Using background card, labels,and a senatiment, all from a Hunkydory Magazine # 85 contents pack, I assembled them with either glue or 3d foam pads. The hare looks so peaceful under a starry sky. 

Dies/Die Cutting

I began with a white card, using small squares and flower heads, I created the panel on the right side. Using a finger dauber, I gently coloured the centre of the flowers with Worn Lipstick DI. I then die cut the background and the word 'thanks', adding them with foam tape.  Simple, mostly white on white.

I began with a 7 x 5in. white card. Using sq. dies of varied sizes, I made frames and small squares, to fit in with the theme of geometric shapes. I added a Just my Type from a Hunkdydory paper pad for the Birthday greeting. I hope you enjoy the challenge of working with some geometric shapes. I apologise for my delay in adding my card. 

#288 Autumn/Fall

Welcome to my blog. Today we begin a new challenge at Make My Monday (MMM), Claudia has chosen, for the appropriate time of the year, #288 Autumn/Fall. To see the inspiration created by the design team, please pop over and take a look in the blog. 

I began with a white scallop edge card, first I added a Kraft card for the base. Using a round die, I created an aperture, then again using Kraft card, I die cut a frame for the aperture. Inside the card , I stamped the beautiful squirrel. Using a collection of Distress Inks, I stamped the front of the card with leaves. I stamped the acorns and leaves. I used Promarker alcohol pens for all the colouring. The stamp set is by Sheena Douglass - Little Acorn.

I began with a 6" sq. white card. I added for the background a piece of silver Mirri card. Using Distress Inks, I blended several pink colours to cover a white piece of card. then I used an embossing folder to creat the swirls background,  I used a Crafter's Companion die to create the Happy Birthday sentiment on a silver Mirri backpiece. I then added this to the main card with 3d foam strips to give dimension. 

L is for Little People ( Kid's card)

I began with a 6" white card, I covered the front of the card with pretty yellow paper from my stash. Using circle dies, I die cut gold Mirri circles for mats for the circles. These are from a Hunkydory kit of Topper Circles. The larger circle is adhered flat. The remainder are raised on 3d foam pads.  I am sure this card will suit many a little girl.

I began with a white 6" card. I used a sheet from a Hunkydory Essential paper pad for the background. I added three bookmarks from a Hunkydory Bookmark Toppers - A Magical Season to a gold Mirri mat. I then placed them central on the prepared card. I raised the centre piece on 3d foam pads. The sentiment is also from the same set.

I made a 5" sq. easel card. I covered the base with papers from a Hunkydory Essential paper pad - Paper. I was able to add these to resemble the sheet of paper from the Little Book of Dragonflies. I used 3 sheets to decoupage the dragonfly. I finally added gemstones to the card and to the wings. I found in my stash a small metal dragonfly which I added to the base.  I look forward to ssing your easel cards. 

#286 An Easel Card

 Hello and welcome to my blog. Today is a busy day in my craft world, as it will be in others. Thankfully, I have prepared well in advance. At Cardz 4 Galz Johanna has chosen #286 An Easel Card. To see the inspiration from the design team, please visit the blog. 

I began with a 6" white card, Folded it into an easel card. On the base and both the folds on the upper part of the card I added navy blue card for the solid background. I then added on all three sections the designed paper from an Electric Ink - Christmas Kit from Debbie Moore Designs. All the designs, ephemera and tags are from the same kit. I added gold pearl gems. 

Pearly Sparkles #123 Trick or Treat

I made an octagonal easel card. I used Distress Inks to colour the front, the stamped branches, the house and the ghouls. Splattered water for atomosphere. Glitter touches here and there. Spider's webs, bats and a large pumpkin. All of the stamps, except the branch were old ones from Tandastamps, sadly a company, no longer in business. The branch os from Sheena Douglass- Pinescape stamps. For those who celebrate Halloween, I hope you all have a 'spooky' time and have fun. 

 

#287 Pink Card and Pink Ribbon for Breast Cancer Awareness month

 Hello, welcome to my blog,Today at Make My Monday we have a new blog, chosen by me.  We would like you to help us be part of the recognition for the International  Breast Cancer Awareness during the month of October. For my card,, I used a 7 x 5 inhes white card. I added gold Mirri to the front of the card. Using the backing card, topper sheet and decoupage elements, along with an insert from a Hunkydory Flourishing Florals, I added the decoupage pieces using 3d foam pads. a ribbon strip, with a pink ribbon attached, with a pink bow. I added pale pink gems and a sentiment,

K is for Kittens

Many of you may have realised over the past two months I have had many computer problems, I have even bought a new computer,which has improved somewhat, however, I have needed to source a replacement photo editing programme. I am very much in the learning stage,very much frustrated too, I apologise for the photo, the rotation needs more work on it. Anyway here goes.

 

I began with three sheets/pages of the kitten and duvets, from a Hunkydory Little Book of Denim. The base shhet#1 was adhered to a deep blue piece of card to stabalise. Sheet #2 was fussy cut around the duvets and the kitten. Sheet #3 I fussy cut the kitten. All 3 sheets were raised with 3d foam pads. I added white gem stones to two corners. The base card was adhered to a sheet of lace paper from an essential book of lace papers from Hunkydory. A sentiment for a birthday also added. 

 

#285 Fantasy

 

Hello and welcome to my blog. we have a new challenge at Cardz 4 Galz. Dawn has chosen                #285 Fantasy, it can be fairies, goblins, dragons, whatever from a fantasy world. To see the inspiration created by the design team, please visit the blog. 

For my card, I began by choosing 3 pages from a Hunkydory Little Book of Dragons,, I added the first page onto a piece of orange card for sturdiness. The second layer was fussy cut to provide the olde world map. The third layer is of course the fiery dragon.All layers were raised with 3d foam pads. I die cut from a Hunkydory set of vertrical sentiments dies., the Happy Birthday greeting. 

Favourite Technique

A few of our design team are on holiday, so I have added two of my favourite techniques. 

To begin the above is an example of a Triple Mat  Stamping Technique., there are instructions and ideas for this technique on both You Tube and Pinterest.

The stamps I used - Sweet Dixie - Lighthouse set. Tandastamps (no longer with us) Pirates set 2, Creative Expressions Travel set 1. Using Distress Inks, Stormy Sky, Salty Ocean and Broken China. 

Finally I added twine and a charm of a fish.

My additional technique is accepting a challenge, where I was able to decoupage on the project. This one was to make a card for a teenage boy interested in small cc motor bikes and Quad bikes. 

I made an easel card, the section holding the easel up is made to look like a road, with crystal stones added to light the way. Neither of the bikes are road bikes but if you won't tell, I can let my imagination carry on. The background, is of course corrugated card, from a box, messed up with TH Distress Walnut Stain ink and a page torn from an old road map book.  Both of the decoupaged bikes could have been from a Kanban sheet, I'm not sure, I bought a stack of decoupage sheets ages ago. I had fun making these two favourite technique cards, a little time to play away. I hope you enjoy playing too. 

Fall/Autumn Theme Colours

Hello, welcome to my blog,  today we begin a new challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz. Billie A has chosen   #390 Fall/Autumn Theme Colour/Colours. To see the inspiration created by the wonderful design team, please visit the blog. 

I began with a small card, approx. 4.5 sq. in. I stamped, in black, the images directly onto the card. The stamps are by Dare 2B Artzy - Tangle Leaves.I then stamped the leaves and acorns, with Black Versafine, onto a prepared sheet of blended Distress inks, using autumnal colours. I used clear embossing powder to emboss the images. Additional colour where need was added with Promarkers.They were then fussy cut, decoupaged above the orignal stamped image with foam pads. Finally the sentiment blended with autumnal Distress inks, was added. Have fun. 

Apples

I began with a white card. I then began from the background card up through several layers to build up a collage effect, using die cut pieces from a Studio Light "Country Roads" paper pad set of two pads. I loved finding all the pieces for Apples, even Apple Pie. I hope you enjoy the challenge. 

Monochromatic

I began with a 7 x 5 inches Kraft card. I stamped with black ink from Woodware stamps -Cosmos Flowers. I used several tones of fawns - brown Promarker alcohol pens., to colour. I finally used a Sakura Gellly Roll #8 White pen to add  tips to the flowers. The sentiment is also from the same stamp. I added peach coloured pearl stones to embellish.
