Hearts - Red, Pink and White

Hello, it's not long till Valentine's Day so there are a few
challenges floating around in Blogland for the 'love fest'.
Today at Cardz 4 Galz  our new challenge, chosen by Amy is
Challenge #89
Hearts - the twist is you must use Red, Pink and White.
Please visit the challenge blog to see the few details and 
of course, to see what the DT have created. 
My card was in a way, inspired by one I saw on Pinterest. 
Black and red carad for matting. White card embossed
half way with a large dot embossing folder.
The large red heart was a gift from  a craft buddy, the remainder 
hearts are pieces of spare card from my stash, cut  with
various heart dies.  The 'love' stamp is an old one in my stash.

Something beginning with T


Hello, thanks for your visit. Today we begin a new challenge at 
Cardz 4 Guyz. Amy has chosen one which can
 have many possibilities.
#212 Something Beginning with T

My T is for Trees and Thinking of You.
A 5x7 card, with a green patterned paper for the background.
I blended  DI Mustard Seed and Peeled paint across
the card. Dried the ink with my heat tool.
Using Versafine Black Ink I stamped the main image-
'A Path to Somewhere' by Honey Doo Crafts
Both text stamps are with the main image set. 
I scribbled two lines around the card to give it an edge.

All You Need Is Love

I used a 7" sq card. Papers are from Whimsical Pastels-
Paper pad from The Works,
Several dies used, including 'love'.
The greeting stamp from my stash. 
The stamp from LOTV is aptly called Happy Anniversary.

Salt Technique


Hello everyone, I hope you are well. Thanks for your visit.
Today we begin a new challenge at Back to Basics and Beyond
Meg has chosen  Salt Technique --
Don't worry if this is a new technique or an old one
your not sure of, there is a direct link to a simple 
tutorial on You Tube, so no excuses for not having a go.

This is the Salt Technique - close up.
You can see where the salt has soaked up the colour, and
has left behind the pattern.
I made a 5x7 card. I used TH Distress Inks
Abandoned Coral, Twisted Citron and Fossilized Amber
Blended onto the card, followed the instructions as
mentioned above. 
Stamps used - Sentiment - My Paper World.
Butterflies - The Works
Poppy seed heads - Crafter's Companion - Fairy Magic. 
Pencils used to highlight areas on the poppy heads.
Why don't you go and try it , I guarentee it is fun.

Winter Birthday

For my 6" card, I have used the following
Silver Mirri card - Pink paper from The Works
A fancy die, a stitched die - Happy Birthday die - Crystal gems
The Stamp  is by Woodware - Snow Buddies
for those who know the stamp, will see I cut off the 
lower two snowmen,( not literally) 
Glue Pen and lots of Glamour Dust glitter. 
Coloured with Promarkers.

I am thinking of spring, (I wish) - A 6" sq card.
I created a frame - with my new square dies, (love them).
Adhered to card with dimensional stickers.
Paper from Craftwork Cards - Meadow papers.
Stamped Funky Flowers inside panel.
Stamped Funky Bird, added with dimensional stickers.
Funky Flowers and Bird are by Hobby Art. 
Wooden 'friends' and wooden butterfly  coloured with
Promarkers.

Sparkles -New Year- New Stash


Hello, thanks for popping by. I do hope Santa was good to you
over the festive season because our first challenge for 2019 at
Challenge # 112 - New Year, New Stash
The DT have some fabulous inspiration awaiating your visit.
My new stash on this 7" card, bought with present money, are
a set of square dies, I never could get a perfect square, no matter
how hard I tried. I also bought a new Friends set of stamps, from
a Making Cards and Papercrafts Magazine sale.
Papers used from my stash, Promarkers used to colour.

Trains, Planes and/or Automobiles


Hello, thanks for your visit. Today we begin a new challenge

For my card I created a scene using Hobby Art Stamps
from the Flypast set. The sky was painted with T.H. Distress Inks
Tumbled Glass and a little of Blue China.
The remainder were coloured with Promarkers.

The card is a 6" square scallop edged.
Papers are from dovecraft back to Basics Monochrome. 
The stamp Santoro Mini Gorguss - The Scarf.
Dies - Greeting and Marianne Oval -  Embellished with a Debonair Flower.

A Shaped Card


Happy new year to everyone. I hope you are well.
Today at back to Basics and Beyond, we are kicking off the year,
with an easy one  - Challenge #19 is ~A Shaped Card
It can be any shape but NOT a Square or a Rectangle.

I resorted to an old CD of mine Fabulous Fellas CD-
by Katy Sue Designs.
I have printed and slightly decoupaged a collection of
sports equipment, placed on a lozenge shape.
The background papers were printed and added to red paper to outline.
The outer card also has had its corners cut inward to create an unsual shape.

U is for Use Some stitching real or faux


Hello and thanks for your visit. Today at Alphabet Challenges
we find Silvi has chosen for the letter U 
Use Some Stitching  Real or Faux
Please check out the blog for the rules  and the DT's 
wonderful creations.
An 8" sq card decorated with paper, tissue paper stamping and
embellishments. Most of the sewing is faux. The background papers are from an 
8" paper pad, Victorian Rose. 
The stamps are by La Blanche- the swirls.  A Bavura corset, two ladies faces
are from The Stampman - Across The Miles. The faux stitching stamp is
by Tandastamps.
Additional elements, Flowers I made from paper, Lace stitched into a flower.
Pearls and buttons.  Hope you reel like doing some stitching.
