Puppy Love

The theme for this week, Cardz 4 Guyz   was set by our US Design Team member Andrea, who didn't consider there may be different ways to interpret Puppy Love, The team have however gone for the dog kind and not the immature young love kind.  Check out the inspiration here. We would like you to concentrate on the PUPPY element, we only ask for it to be suitable for a male person and that you have fun in the creating. My  card, concentrataing on the puppy aspect is from Kraftyhands CD  - Man About Town, which provided all the papers, elements and image. It even provides the template for the stepper card. Have fun everyone.

Banners or Bunting

For the next week at MTTC (My Time To Craft) Helen has chosen for our challenge
Banners or Bunting, which are a great way to embellish a card. Why don't you check out what the Design Team created. For my card I have used a CD for my source of image and papers, Halycon Days by Crafter's Companion. I added some twine over the bunting to add some texture. Have fun everyone, I look forward to seeing your Banners or Bunting.

z is for Zentangles

At Alphabet Challenges, for the final letter of this series, Z is for Zentangles. There are lots of ideas and inspiration on Pinterest and You Tube, so don't feel you have no idea what this is all about. It is simply a posh and creative way of explaining doodling, which we all do in those relaxed moments if we have a pen in our hand. Please check out the Design Team's inspired cards. For my card, I have used for my image a free digi I found on Pinterest. Doodled away to fill in the large open spaces.  I matted onto black and kraft card, using the Papermania spotted black and white card for the main background. Have fun, please give it a try, I am sure you will be surprised at what you can achieve.

#97 Soon Be Spring

Yes, it will Soon Be Spring, which is our challenge for the next two weeks at Ruby's Rainbow. It doesn't feel like spring yet, but it will soon be enough, one of my favourite seasons. Please pop over to see the wonderful inspiration for the  Design Team, you can almost feel the gentle warmth of spring is so close.  For my card for the challenge, I matted the main card with black which help to pop everything forward, The papers and image are from Halcyon Days a CD from Crafter's Companions. The small yellow flowers are my first attempt at making my own air dry paper clay with a mould from Katy Sue Designs, it really was so easy, another must have in my craft room. I love the fresh spring colours of the card, I look forward to seeing your spring like projects over the next two weeks, Have fun and say warm.

#56 Kick Back and Relax

For our challenge this week at Cardz 4 Guyz, Helen from the Design Team has chosen Kick Back and Relax, there are many ways to relax, so we expect to see a variety of projects. The Design Team as usual, have created some amazing cards, please pop over to check them out.  For my project, I have been longing to use this stamp, so in my mind, he is a farmer who is taking time to rest and relax whilst walking the fields. The stamp is of course LOTV - 'In The Country'. I actually watercoloured the image with my Aquamarkers, I did use Promarkers for his face and hands. The papers are from LOTV Father Knows Best and from my stash. The greeting and circle sentiments are from Kraftyhands CD - Botanical Butterflies. I stamped the dragonflies onto green vellum, adorned with clear gems. All the papers have been distressed, then edged with Walnut Stain DI. I'm looking forward to visiting your blogs to see how your guyz have relaxed. Have fun.
I am entering this card into Just Inspirational Challenges for their Masculine challenge.

Let's Party - 4th Anniversary

Wow! It's time to party at Sparkles Christmas Challenges, this being the 4th Anniversary. Congratulations to our wonderful leader and owner of the challenge blog Shaz, as a player and a member of the Design Team, I am loving the challenges and the blog, looking forward for more anniversaries to come.
To celebrate the challenge for the month of February is Let's Party - remember it is a Christmas challenge, so please do party for Christmas Time..
For my project I printed elements from La Pashe The Best Of 2012 CD- I made a folded card using a template. Covered parts with the backing paper and matted the main image onto the centre fold. The background is real live snow, the light is so bad at present, so I photographed it outside in the snow.
Pickles and Podge are enjoying their party, I'm looking forward to viewing your party projects.
