#5 Sketch at Addicted to Stamps & More

My Card from #5 Sketch at Addicted to Stamps and More

#5 Sketch Challenge.

Our sponsors for this week are
I have great fun with the Sketch challenges for they usually help me to think of doing something different and  to slip out of a rut, for if your like me, I can easily slip into a comfort area and stay there, for instance most of my recent cards have all been square so it was a nice change to make a rectangle card. I have used a Crafty Inspirations stamp for the main image, I stamped it onto a piece of card I had previously prepared in my 'making backgrounds session' a few days ago. I covered the page with TH Distress inks, Worn Lipstick, Victorian Velvet and Broken China, I then sprayed water on it , left it for a few minutes, rolled a kitchen towel roll over it. I also used a free stamp from the Craft Stamper magazine, added ribbon and gems with a greeting.  Have fun with our sketch, I know I will enjoy visiting you over the next week.

  1. Hi Caz. Love your vintage-y images ... and you've highlighted them perfectly with the watercoloring technique using distress inks. Perfect matted on the black background. Loll xx

  8. Hi Caz. Beautiful card. That CI stamp is one of my favourites. Love how you have used the head instead of the heart. Really clever.

  9. This stamp was perfect for this sketch! Beautiful vintage feel to it and I too love that you used the lady's head instead of a heart.
