Stitching Real or Faux

Hello, welcome to my blog. Today we begin  a new challenge at Make My Monday. Dawn on the DT has chosen #241 Stitching Real or Faux. To see the wonderful inspiration from the DT, please visit the blog.

My card began with a 7" x 5 "white folded card. I added a pink and green tartan for the background. I added a page from a Hunkydory Little Book of Sewing. I adapted the page, added it to a pink Mirri mat, with two strips of plastic coated lace. The 'With Love' sentiment is from the same book.

Confession time....... Please don't look for any stitching real or faux. Let's pretend I lost a needle.
Truth is I have arthritic problems with the fingers needed to hold a needle. At least my card represents sewing. Honesty is the best policy. Happy crafting.

I made a 7 x 5 in white card. I pulled an 8 x 8 sheet, from a Hunkydory Duo Design -Butterfly Royale, paper pad. From the sheet I cut a strip of butterlies which I then matted onto gold Mirri card.  I used two circle dies, a greeting stamp and one butterfly cut from the same page, all from my stash, to create the greeting circle. I look forward to seeing your entry ino our challenge.

I have made two cards- showing my metals, gold, dull gold, glitter gold and copper.

Card 2. I used an embossing folder to create an embossed strip of gold Mirri card bordered with yellow gold glitter. The Moonstone - Hunkydory die of Shine Bright was created using copper glitter card.
I look forward to seeing how you have used your metals when creating your cards.
