H is for Handmade Embellishments

Here we are at letter H already, at Alphabet Challenges - Silvi has chosen Handmade Embellishments. You have two weeks to enter the fun, so let us see those amazing embellishments on your projects.
I was fortunate to visit the LOTV HQ for the 10th birthday celebrations recently, I came home with a fair amount of stash but more inspiration than I could store in my little brain. This is an abundance of pretty flowers, the papers are from a Nitwits collection of Papers - Promises - from LOTV. I created the flowers  by stamping the stamp several times, cutting those and flowers from the papers to use them all as embellishments. Coloured with Promarkers, gems from stash added. The greeting is also from LOTV.
Thanks to everyone who visits me and a special huge thanks for any messages, comments you may leave.

Action/ Movement

Hello again, I hope you have all been  able to enjoy the lovely sunshine and warmth we have been having over the last few days, sadly they tell us it is soon to end. It's Tuesday again, so it is time once again for Cardz 4 Guyz Challenge #19 has been chosen by Julie who would like to see Action /Movement on your project. Please pop over to the challenge  blog, to see the fabulous inspiration from the Design Team, who have made different forms of action and movement but you will find there are lots more which can be made.
I decided to make a penny slider, I know it's easier to make one on a straight line but no, I had this curved football kick in mind so that became my goal - sorrry ! Every intention for that dreadful pun. I made this card obviously for James, grandchild #5,  his birthday is not too far away.
Ingredients used....
Background created with TH Distress Inks
Broken China - Sky
Grass  - Peeled Paint and Mowed Lawn
Small grass stamp from Poppy set  by Hobby Art.
sentiment from Hobby Art.
Pennant made from 10th birthday celebration LOTV napkins - letters from stash.
Football Crazy stamp from LOTV stamps.
coloured with Promarkers.
I am also entering my card into the challenge A Moving Part at The Male Room.  Hi girls, what a coincidence, our Design teams choosing the same theme at the same time. Hope your all well.

One for the Boys

Don't the weeks just fly by? Here I am again, posting for the CD Sunday challenges  Team B, and it seems as if Woah! how did that come round so quick. Well here it is, the challenge for the next week, will be
One for the Boys. I often hear how card makers  do find making making men's cards so difficult. I personally have never experienced this problem, maybe because of the number of males in the family and extended families, we females are greatly in the minority. I do find with the variety and number  of CDs available nowadays, there is a mountain of wonderful material out there to choose from. I chose 'The Great Outdoors' from Card Creations Plus. The papers and images are all from this CD. This card would be perfect for a 'twitcher'. I added leaves for more interest, these were from using off cuts from the background with leaves from Sheena Douglas stamps. The shape of the card is from a template from Fabulous Fashion CD from Katy Sue Designs. Have fun everyone, so many possibilities for One for the Boys, enjoy.

Outdoor Sports

This week at My Time To Craft,  our challenge is Outdoor Sports - this gives you so much scope, I could give a very long list, but I think in this instance, it will be fun to see what you include in your project.  We do like to see anything you would like to make, as long as you stay within the boundaries of the chosen theme.
One outdoor sport which is greatly loved in the UK,but is not featured often on cards, is Cricket. I was fortunate to purchase these cricket stamps at less than half price at a store I recently visited.
My Ingredients are.........
Scalloped Kraft card for the base
White card, coloured with TH Distress Inks Mowed Lawn and Peeled Paint, edged with a black marker.
Varied cricket stamps, stamped on the background, with Memento ink.
The Cricketer, bails, bails and ball, and greeting , stamped onto white card, coloured with Promarkers,
Added to the card with Dimensional stickers.
Have fun everyone, the summer days will soon be upon us for the enjoyment of out door sports, so we will be ready for when it arrives.

Celebrate for Mum or for a Special Lady

Our wonderful sponsors this month are
who will provide for the winner of this challenge either
2 Dies OR 1 Die and 1 Stamp.
For this month, at Sparkles Monthly,  we are Celebrating Mum or a Special Lady. For my DT card, no apologies, but following my recent visit to the Lili of the Valley 10th Birthday Celebrations at their HQ in Leeds I was so inspired with the wonderful and beautiful style of all of the DT ladies and of the designers themselves. I pulled at the deep rooted the soft feminine side of me, to create this month's card for the Special Lady.
My Ingredients are....
All papers from Nitwits Pad Petal Fresh - LOTV
Stamp - Fairy Bouquet - LOTV
Scroll, butterflies, dark blue scrolled flowers - Marianne Dies
All of the remainder from my stash.
Coloured with Promarkers.
I look forward to visiting during the next four weeks, have fun everyone.
Please do pop over to the main blog at Sparkles Monthly to see the wonderful inspiration from the DT.
Take care of yourselves and have fun.

# 79 Animals

At Ruby's Rainbow for the next two weeks Shaz leader of the DT has chosen for the challenge Animals. there are no specific requests or guidelines, so come on you have the world of Animals to choose from. I do hope folk will bear in mind that birds and butterflies are NOT animals, but I bet we see quite a number appearing.  How do I know this, I nearly made a card with an owl on it. He He.  Here is my card with a small matching gift bag, suitable for lots of little surprises. The papers and images are from a beautiful CD from Creative Crafting World - Pollyanna Pickering - British Wildlife. Embellishments from the CD plus a few Card Candi added. have fun. Many thanks to everyone who visits me and to those who leave a comment my sincere gratitude for it means so much that you took the time.
Welcome to all the newest followers on my blog, I hope I can continue to provide you with interesting projects.

Nautical Challenge

We had lots of lovely entries last week at Cardz 4 Guyz, I hope this week's challenge will be as popular.
Helen from the DT has chosen Nautical - of ships and the sea . Lots of options open for this one.  I decided to go a little grungy with my card, which is based on a Kraft card, with navy blue and red card for contrast. I stamped onto the same Kraft card with TH Distress ink Chipped Sapphire.
Stamps used - Script , Anchor, Lighthouse -  Europe Map - Creative Expressions  various sets.
I achieved the distressed edges by running a pair of open scissors along the edge of the card, messy but good fun. I hope you have fun creating your card. I look forward to seeing you over on the main blog, your project can be for any age group, but of course, must be for MALE gender. See you there.
