Sporting Chance

Hello, welcome to my blog. Today we begin a new challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz. Covering for Dawn during here break, I chose #316 Sporting Chance. Basically anythingg to do with sport. To see the woinderful inspiration from the design team, please visit the blog.

I made a centre stepper card using a template, covered the white card with green patterned paper. A white rectangle card, blended with DI Mowed Lawn was decorated with sport related stamps. The original design was an item in Creative Stamping #92. Included were All Sorts Stamp Set from Hunkydory -  Love of Stamps. I stamped each sport item, coloured them with Promarkers, fussy cut them out, then glued them in position. I hope you enjoy looking at the challenge and maybe you have a male person who is shortly going to need a card, male cards are really not difficult to make. Have fun.

For Men Only

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today we begin a new challenge at Sparkles Monthly Challenges. It being my turn, I chose #161 For Men Only. I do hear many folk saying they find male cards difficult, well here is your chance to be inspired and have a go. To see the design team's inspiration, please visit the blog.

For my card, I started with a 5 x 7" card. I cut off just below half way down the front of the card to allow the letters to stand proud of the background. The background has a dark blue mat, the foxy paper is from a 12" sq. paper pad from the Paper Boutique - Whisper of Autumn, along with the stripes on the lower front of the card. I created the letters with my large alphabet dies, with two layers of white card and one of blue paper. The sentiment is also from the paper pad. Happy crafting,

The three monkeys were stamped using a stamp, from a stamp set by Sam Calcott included with the Creative Stamping #117 magazine. The monkeys were coloured with Promarkers and coloured pencils. Have fun creating your great or small creatures. Stay well.

The hearts were then die cut, added to the background. Non-Traditional Colours -Christmas

Hello and welcome. Today we begin a new challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenges. Helen has chosen #145 Non-Traditional Colours. To see the wonderful use of colour and the amazing cards from the design team, please visit the blog.

For my card- materials and techniques used.

Black and orange card for matting and layering. - Stamp press -

Crafter's Companion stamp set - Bethlehem Skyline - Hunkydory Prism ink pads -

1st layer - Jersey Chiffon, 2nd layer - Tiger Orange - 3rd layer - Versaclair Nocturne

This was my first attempt using this stamping technique, the stamps press certainly made it easier, but I think I need more practice, I will have another go, as I have another two stamp sets from the series, I need to get to the point of feeling more at ease making the card.
