Spring Colours

Hello, I hope you are well, warm and enjoying crafting. Today we begin a new challenge at
Make My Monday, Sue has chosen #196 Spring Colours, whatever you wish to make, as long as the coloures are Spring colours. I know we in the UK have had a lot of snow but let's see something really spring like to cheer us all up and to look forward to.

I recently saw this style card on Facebook and have been eager to give it a try. It is called a 'Floating Topper'. I used strips of spring coloured papers from my stash, which I adhered to my floating topper. The flower and leaves are Lisa Horton die cuts. The sentiment stamp is an ancient one from my stash. Take care and please have a go.

Y is for something Yummy

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today we begin another challenge at Alphabet Challenges, we are so close to the end of another A-Z.  Billie A has chosen for Y - Y is for something Yummy. I found it interesting to see the design team have so many ideas about Yummy items. I loved the idea of everyone of them. If you wouldl like to see their inspiration then please visit the blog.

My idea of a Yummy item is Ice Cream, not just a small ice cream but something I can't have (health reasons) a large Sundae or Knickerbocker Glory. So Yummy!. I placed a silver mirri card for the mat. The stamp is by Creative Expressions - Sundae, designed by Sam Poole. It is an oldie but I think a Goldie. I coloured the ice cream and sauce with Promarkers and highlighted areas on the glass, I added Glossy Accents to the cherry on top and the additional cherries, from a recent stamp set. A gold pen highlighted the sugar sparkles. I swooshed the background with Peacock Feathers. Added sparkly glitter gems. Have fun with your Yummy item and please stay safe and warm.

Warm Winter Clothes

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today we begin a new monthly challenge at
Sparkles Christmas Challenges - #146 Warm Winter Clothes, chosen by Debs. if you wish to see more of the design team's creations please visit the blog.

For my card, I used a Kraft card with scalloped edges, 6" sq. for the base. A black mat card. Papers are from Lily of the Valley Kraft Christmas  paper pad. It's a shame that they no longer produce paper pads. The stamp is #ST336 I don't know it's name. I coloured the background by blending in DI Tumbled Glass for the sky and snow. I used Promarkers to colour the stamped image, keeping to vintage tones.  A little glitter here and there, and why not? 3 punches stars to embellish. A die used for the sentiment.
