A Sketch at MTTC

Spotlight Technique


We have a new challenge starting today for the next two weeks over 
Spotlight Technique.
Please pop over to the blog, we are new and welcome
newbies as we do established crafters. We can all learn
something, or be inspired by others. The rules, links for
tutorials on how to create the technique and the wonderful
varied inspiration by the amazing Design Team are all there.
I made a 7" card so I could stamp in opposite corners with
the gorgeous Woodware stamp Perfect Petals.
I buy my Woodware stamps from The Stampman.
The spotlight circles cut with a Spellbinders die,
which was coloured with Zig brush pens.
Matted onto black card onto the main card.

Ice Cream



Hello, today we start a new challenge at Make My Monday.
Emma has chosen Ice Cream. It can be the colours of ice cream 
or lollies or even ice cream. My fellow DT have some lovely ideas
so please pop over to see what they have been up to.
My small white card has been matted with silvi mirri card.
A very pretty pink backing paper with lots of white hearts.  
The fairy with the birthday cake is a print out from a
Hunkydory #7 USB.  I edged the circle with Worn Lipstick DI.
Strawberries and vanilla ice cream was my inspiration. 
Greeting is a die cut  creation from silver mirri card.

G is for Great Outdoors


Hello again, hope you are well and happily crafting.
Today we begin a new challenge at Alphabet Challenges.
Lesley has chosen for the letter G - Great Outadoors
The DT have had fun with this theme, why don't you pop 
over to be inspired and challenged. 
I made a scrapbook page, the emphasis being on one 6 x 4  
photo of two brothers, my grandsons when out for a 
country walk. The papers are from my stash which fitted
the scene perfectly for me. The tree was fussy cut,
a technique which I enjoy, I dont use any dies. 
A simple block page but full of some fabulous memories.

I have a deckle edge white card, with a dark blue mat and 
silver mirri layer to mount my stamped image.

I coloured the sea and sky with water coloured Distress inks.
the remainder was coloured with varied Promarkers. 
How I wish I was there.

Metal Madness

 

Hello again, hope you're well, thanks for your visit.
Today at Cardz 4 Guyz we begin a new challenge. 
Sian has chosen Metal Madness.

For my card, I used a 7" Sq. scallop edge white card.
I used Black to mat and layer all sections. The BP is 
from LOTV paper pad Father Knows Best.
I embossed 3 strips of silvi mirri card with a Cuttlebug EF.
The stamp is by Personal Impressions. 
Coloured with shades of Grey and Blue Promarkers.
I added 3 circle paperclips for additional metal.
A peel off sentiment on black card.

My card is 5" Sq. with a black mat background.
I used Distress Oxide inks to create the coloured
background, I used stamps by Leonie Pujol for the
background. The foreground stamp is Poppy Lea
by Inkylicious, which I coloured with Glitter Pens.

Let's Be Pretty


Hello again,  today we begin a new challenge at 
Cathy has chosen for us Let's Be Pretty.

For my card, I used gold mirri for the large mat background.
A pretty sheet of paper from a 12" pad from The Works - 
A beautiful piece of lace, pearls and a silk flower 
to embellish the card.
The main image was a wonderful find in a charity shop, 
the ladies were on the cover of a handmade paper book,
crying out to be up-cycled and given a new life.

Heat Embossing


Hello again, thanks for your visit and comments, which are greatly appreciated.
Today we begin a new challenge in a NEW challenge blog.
#8 Heat Embossing
Time to get out the embossing powders and your heat tool, make any style 
or design of a card with a heat embossed image or embellishment.

I splashed the background with 3 glitter pens from Crafter's Companions.
I used stamps by Leonie Pujol from Crafter's Companions to creater
the background and the two main images. 
They were stamped with Versafine Black ink, and embossed with
clear embossing powder, If you have everything ready at hand, this can be done.
I used Promarkers to colour. A Sakura white gel pen for highlights.
Doodled lines around the card to give it an edge. 
I would love for you to join us, this is an easy but enjoyable technique.

Resist Embossing


Hello,  it is the start of a new challenge at Make My Monday
For the next two weeks we would like to see your creations
using the Resist Embossing technique.
The Design Team have come up with some interesting and varied cards.

on the technique,  just in case you're not sure.
I always love making backgrounds, especially with TH Distress Inks.
The background has been blended with Tumbled Glass, Squeezed Lemonade
and Spiced Marmalade. 
The floral stamp is Flying Stars - an old wooden favourite from Penny Black.
Heat embossed with white detail Embossing Powder. 
Greeting from Crafter's Companion, ribbon and card candi added.

F is for Fish


Hello, we are starting a new letter challenge at 
Alphabet Challenges with the letter F which is for
FISH
We are looking forward to seeing your fish projects.
Please do visit the blog, we do need new DT members, 
why don't you think about it? It isn't difficult and can be fun.
For my card, I first created 3 circles using circle dies.
I stamped the fish onto paper from a per pad from The Works -
Trendy Blue Lifestyle. 
The gold fish stamps are from a set of stamps in my stash - source unknown.
The Angel Fish are by All Night Media
All coloured with Promarkers and Crafter's Companions Glitter Pens.
Matted onto a dark blue card for contrast. Thanks for your visit.

Challenge #73 Pretty and Pearly

Hello again, today we begin a new challenge at Cardz 4 Galz. 
Helen has chosen - Pretty and Pearly.

For my card, I used a round scallop edge card from Kanban.
I stamped a fairy from a Sugar Buttons set of stamps by Kanban,
she was coloured with Promarkers, then added to two 
varied sizes die cut doileys.
With the addition of flowers, stamped flowers, die cut leaves, 
pearls (of course) and a twine bow

Holiday

Hello, we began a new challenge today at MTTC
We would like to see anything to do with a holiday time, 
totally your choice. Why not pop over to the blog to see 
what the DT created. Have fun.
I created a background with 3 Distress Oxides blended.
I stamped on with a cracked texture on the project. 
The acutal card was blended around the edges with 
the Spiced Marmalade DO -  then stamped with the cracked texture 
stamp. The main image is a Woodware stamp - Paris Collage.
My interpretation of a holiday.
The butterflies are fussy cut from a Crafty Individuals 
paper pad of butterlies and flowers.
