Lots of Layers (more than 3)

 Hello and welcome to my blog. Today we begin a new challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz. Melanis has chosen #323 Lots of Layers - (More than 3) - To see the inspiration from the design team, please visit the blog. 

For my card, I began with a white 6" card.  I then added the first layer of blue card, then an embossed folder, a strip with stamped seagulls and a sentiment, An embossed folder that looks like waves, and a mat layer of blue for the image. I stamped the ship from A Crafter's Companion, Signature Collection - Nautical Collection, which was indcluded in the #207 Simply Cards and Papercrafts magazine.  U used Promarkers to colour the ship and to outline.   I hope you enjoy and take part in the challenge.

Mascline Card

Hello and welcome to my blog, thanks for your visit. Today we begin a new challenge at

I made a 5 x7 inch  white card, added a navy blue mat for the designed white piece of card.

The splat was created using a splat stamp by Crafty Roo Stamps.

I used Mermaid Lagoon DI Oxide, sprayed the stamp with water and stamped the splat.

I then created various size and coloured stars to the design.  

The sentiment is by My Paper World.

I am looking forward to seeing your take on masculine cards.

                                           

D is for Dragonflies

Hello, thanks for your visit. Today we begin our next challenge at Alphabet Challenges, I have chosen      D is for Dragonflies. To see the inspiration from the design team, please visit the blog. 

I used a 6 x 4 in white card, I added a white panel to the base card with 3d Foam pads. I stamped a set of flowers and leaves with a Kanban stamp, coloured with pencils, then stencilled a small background. This was cut and added to a navy card, to form a panel. The dragonfly was stamped, one of many from my stash, coloured with pencils, with Ranger glitter stickles added to ther Wings.  Crystal gems added to the body. Sentiment from my stash. Backgrounds

I decided to to use a 5 x 7 in  card. I matted with a black card, then placed a white piece of paper on the matted background. With a 6" ruler I drew staight lines in different directions to create a patchwork style of pieces. When the pieces were cut out, I trimmed some areas to allow the black mat to be seen. Using the pieces I cut out matching pieces of mirri and glitter card. These pieces were glued in place to create a shiny and glittered background. I die cut the sentiment from Hunkydory - Shine Bright. This was my first attempt at this technique and like all new techniques, you learn along the way, practice does make it right. I am sure my next card like this will improve. Thanks for visiting and take care. 

 

Bi-Peddle Wheels for National Bike Month

Hello wnd thanks for your visit. today we begin a new challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz. Jolanda has chosen for #322 Bi-Peddle Wheels for National Bike Month. To see the inspiration from the wonderful design team, please visit the blog. 

I knew I had a vintage page of a bicycle somewhere in my 'One Day I'll Need It! stash. As you can see I found it and used it. I have no idea of it's original source but was so pleased to eventually use it. I began by die cutting the circles, I then knew I needed an A5 size card. Started with a white card, matted in black and orange, added the striped paper. Added the horizontal panel of corrugated orange card and striped paper. Added the circles, using 3D foam pads. Finally embellished with the wheels strip across the bottom of the card, the tags, and gold studs. I hope you enjoy the challenge. Stay well.

 

Things with Wings

For my card, I began with a 5 x 7 in. Kraft card. I created it into an easel card, covering the founding pieces with black card and splattered paper from my stash. The main image is mounted onto a die cut piece of black card. I coloured the main image with Distress Inks, the stamps used are from a Hobby Art set of stamps - 'Bee Friendly'. I coloured the flower and the bees with Promarkers. I added Glittery Stickles to the bees' wings. I embellished with gold gemstones from Hunkydory.

For my card, I started with a 5 x7 in. Kraft card. matted a black card. Added a distressed navy with stars card from a paper pad from The Works. Added a strip across the centre of similar card. Die cut a Kraft tag. I printed the sentiment of Good Luck, along with other sheets printed with positive comments, sending love for starting a job for my teenage grandson. Held together with metal stationery. Have fun and

C is for Cats

 Hello and welcome to my blog. today we begin a new challenge at Alphabet Challenges. Helen has chosen for the letter C - C is for Cats. To see the inspiration by the design team, please visit the blog. 

I made my card on a 6" white card. I folded back half of the front sheet, giving a fold back card. The background sheets, from a Hunkydory set of toppers and backgrounds  is Curiosity Cats, layed onto gold mirri card. I added two of the rings, placing the card in the centre, adhered with 3D foam pads. Additional elements from the kit added to decorate. 

Flowers for a Friend

I used a 6" sq. white card. Added a sheet from a paper pad, Vintage Notes, from my stash. I scraped the edges to give a distressed but still pretty background. An oval die cut. Stamped the flower, sentiment and butterfly from Hobby Art - Happiness Blooms. Coloured with Promarkers. Sparkles glitter added. Along with Cosmic Shimmer Sparkles Accents. Finally 3 pink crystal gems added. Have fun. 

 

Get Messy

I  worked on a 5 x 7 in. card. I added a navy blue card for the mat. I used the splodge method wieth DI's Blueprint Sketch and Peacock Feathers. When dried I used a spots stencil from Chocolate Baroque , stencilling with the Blueprint Sketch. The clocks are from stamps ofrom Printable Heaven. the sentiment Happy Birthday  is from my stash. Include a sleigh

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today we begin our monthly Sparkles Christmas Challenges, for May, Debbie has chosen #148 Include a Sleigh. To see the wonderful inspiration from the design team, please visit the blog. 

I made a 6" sq. white card, added a silver mirri mat. The snowman is a stamp set by Be Creative -

 Snowy Days.  I used Promarkers to colour , I added glitter here and there. The sleigh is a die from Printable Heaven - on black card. I blended around the edges of the card with DI Tumbled Glass.
